Fess: The Professor Longhair Anthology Songs Fess: The Professor Longhair Anthology Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) So Much Fun! The "liner" notes (a small booklet) had lots of info; the music is great.
Definately worth buying, even if you have to stretch your budget.

Funny Thing About The Blues Funny thing about the blues, it travel against the grain, into the wind, you know? It travel up the Mississippi from its home in the Delta. It travel from New Orleans to Memphis, on to St. Louis, then to Chicago...across the Lakes sprinkling its soulful magic along the way to New York in places like Cleveland and Buffalo. That's why this anthology is a five-star must have for blues fans. The music is at the heart of the blues in its very home, the Delta, and the Professor's blues boogie is found in much of contemporary blues music. It is history, it is boogie, it is American heritage.......and dang good listening, too.
