Produced by Jim Gaines, this second album from the Memphis group follows strongly in the footsteps of their debut. Between Jesse Hoggard's down home guitar and Billy Gibson's harmonica, the group's sound is pure Memphis grit and muscle, amply fortified by the bass and drums of Kevin Sheahan and John Scalici. With everyone taking turns at the lead vocal chores and the wealth of original material, there's nary a boring moment to be found. With playing and writing this deep, we can only hope for more music of equal caliber from this promising new band. Highlights include "Arkansas Razorback," "Cadillac," "Tears," and "High and Dry." ~ Cub Koda
Brooklyn's Love Camp 7 has an instantly recognizable sound, part striking harmonies, part contrapuntal arrangements, part unexpected tempo changes. It's one of those bands that evokes past masters of psychedelic popâ€"Kinks, Love, Beach Boysâ€"without ever seeming retro or derivative.

The hymns in this collection grew from an unexpected friendship. In the fall of 2001, Jim Clemens and David Wright met at Lombard Mennonite Church in Illinois, where Jim, for a number of years, had accompanied and written music for worship, and where his wife, Angie, served as choral conductor and song leader. They became part of the same fellowship group, and David became involved over time in the church choir.Jim and David began to meet regularly on Sunday mornings, skipping Sunday school to drink coffee and talk about music, Wendell Berry's poetry, and Monty Python films.
