Bound to Unwound
It's rare to come across a band with such a sensibility for dynamics and textures like Unwound. In vein with contemporary guitar torturers Sonic Youth and Polvo, Unwound (specifically Justin Trosper on the guitar) shows an amazing range of sonic exploration that is both chaotic in the sheets of feedback and scraping dissonance, but a true element of vulnerability and lush (if not a little bit scratchy) beauty.
