| | Saint Bushmill's Choir Give Em Enough Booze CD Saint Bushmill's Choir Discography of CDs
St. Bushmill's Choir formed in Seattle in 1994 or so. The players are all working in other well-known Seattle bands and consumated their love of Irish music and whiskey by forming "The Choir". The Choir consists of violin, accordian, banjo, mando as well as your basic bass, electric guitars and drums. The Choir were instrumental in forging the new-wave of American bred Irish rock. Irish as well as American folk and west coast punk influences give The Choir a hard edge infused with cheery melodies and relevant lyrics. "Give 'Em Enough Booze" is a discount priced E.P. with 5 songs total, including a medley of 3 traditional Irish instrumentals and 4 vocal tunes. This is The Choir's first release and will be followed by a full length CD release in 2004.

Give Em Enough Booze music CDs
$10.39 While former Mott the Hoople singer/songwriter Ian Hunter's solo career started out strong, he stumbled on his third album, OVERNIGHT ANGELS. One of the reasons might have been the absence of longtime guitar foil/fellow Mott man Mick Ronson, who happily reappeared on the follow-up, YOU'RE NEVER ALONE WITH A SCHIZOPHRENIC. Perhaps not coincidentally, Hunter's fourth solo effort features some of the strongest (and most beloved) ...

Give Em Enough Booze music CDs
$8.65 While most of his peers have long since abandoned their creative impulses and risk-taking for comfortable complacency, Pete Townshend still dares to fail. THE IRON MAN, a song cycle adapted from a children's book, is ambitious in its scope as well as in its cast of characters. It is notable for a reunion of sorts with former Who members Roger Daltrey and John Entwhistle (on "Fire" and "Dig," the latter of which finds Daltrey in fine vocal form), as well as cameo growling from blues legend John Lee Hooker (on the menacing "I Eat Heavy Metal" and the strangely wistful "Over the Top"), and bizarre shrieking from jazz great Nina Simone. Townshend himself turns a stirring performance or two, reaching a pinnacle on the affirming "All Shall be Well." Though THE IRON MAN is a slightly bumpy ride, its turbulence is a testament to Townshend's creative ambition.
Pete Townshend adapted "The Iron Man," a children's fable written by the British poet Ted Hughes, for his sixth studio solo album, Iron Man: A Musical. Casting himself, Roger Daltrey, Nina Simone, and John Lee Hooker in leading roles, the album doesn't ...
| | Young Divas CD (2006) (Import) Bonus Track
Give Em Enough Booze songs
$23.65 The concept of four Australian Idol alumni joining together to form a pop group is quite unique for the global Idol franchise. Rarely do these types of formations form, and even less often, stick, especially since, by the time of print of this review, Ricki-Lee Coulter has already left the group and been replaced. Nonetheless, the team of producers who formed the Young Divas, and their record label, Sony BMG, went for it anyways, signing these girls up with a record deal after a brief experimental tour. The product is not much different than the Idol format or the title of the group itself. It is a collection of covers by the famous divas of the past decades. The album has covers originally by Donna Summer, Irene Cara, the Weather Girls, and so many more. In some ways, this approach to a post-Idol album is a good thing. It doesn't stray too far from anything that the girls, Emily Williams, Kate DeAraugo, Paulini, and Ricki-Lee Coulter have performed on the show. Plus, their voices mesh seamlessly on tracks like "Happenin' All Over Again" and "This Time I Know It's for Real", which were the albums first two singles (and the strongest tracks on the album). However, one can totally argue against the quality of the album for the same reasons. It's an album of covers; it has no original material, which makes it difficult to determine the strength of the writing and potential of these girls. There is no redeeming artistic originality on the album, however new remixes ...
