| Psycho/Erotic love story This movie was the most erotically charged film I have ever seen. The scenes with Miles/Kristofferson are remembered even 26 yrs later. The psychopathology of the son was frightning, the story line was terrific and you'd never anticipate the ending ! By a reviewer (houston tx) |
| Sensual & Erotically Beautiful!! Sailor Who Fell From Grace With the Sea review I remember seeing this movie as a teenager and being so impressed by it. The music soundtrack is so appropriatly beautiful. The performances are so real and one is caught up the reality and sensual background. The sexual electricity between the two stars is so highly charged and erotic. One of my favorite scenes was where they're both in a proper restaurant having tea and the sailor drops his hand under the table and masturbates his girlfriend whom he's misses so much since he's been away at sea. Her reaction is delicious! As for the vicious ringleader of the boys' group, one just wants to smack the hell out of him. Exceptional performances!! | Bizarre film Mixed reviews abound about this movie and I can see why. Sarah Miles' son is quite evil in this study of sickness and jealousy, but ultimately the film lacks substance and leaves you feeling something is missing. On the plus side Image's widescreen transfer is stunning. By phil (Midlands, UK) This review is for a different format. |
| WHERE IS JONATHAN KAHN? Sailor Who Fell From Grace With the Sea VHS for sale I ADORE THIS UNUSUAL MOVIE BECAUSE IT IS WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME. SARAH IS LOVELY BUT SHOWS AN AWESOME PERFORMANCE IN THE SCENE WHEN SHE CATCHES HER SON SPYING ON THEM! KRIS ROCKS AS USUAL AS THE SAILOR, EARL JONES IS SUPERIOR IN HIS ROLE AND HE REVISES HIS SUPERIORITY AS AN ACTOR IN YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, AND MOST OF ALL JONATHAN KAHN, WHERE IS HE? WHAT BECAME OF HIM WILL SOMEONE TELL ME! HE IS ANGELICALLY EVIL IN THIS ROLE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN AS AN ADULT. BY THE WAY, THE VHS VERSION OF THIS MOVIE IS DIFFERENT AND CUT FROM THE DVD. THE DVD IS TOO DARK IN ITS LIGHTING AND ITS WIDESCREEN WHEREAS THE VHS IS LIGHTER AND WE ARE ABLE TO SEE THE COLORS MORE VIVIDLY. THIS MOVIE IS SUPERB!!!PS. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN FIND JONATHAN KAHN PLEASE EMAIL ME. By CARLSBAD, CA, USA (henryswinter@yahoo.com) This review is for a different format. |
| Memorable I agree with the viewer who wrote that this movie was one not easily forgotten. At least, I have not forgotten it. It truly was a shocker for the time and certain scenes are still "memorable"--to say the least! By Ann (Decatur AL) This review is for a different format. |
