$13.85 Norma is most memorable on the melodic "When First I Came to Caledonia." She takes lead on "Midnight on the Water," with the remainder of the family joining on the choruses and three fiddles carrying the tune. "Ye Mariners All," featuring Martin's vocal and Eliza on fiddle, conjures up memories of the great Carthy/Swarbrick partnership. All three voices combine to glorious effect on "Sleep on Beloved," an earlier variant of the song more widely known via Joseph Spence and the Incredible String ...

God Bless America: An Irish Salute songs
$14.89 Certainly people's passion for Celtic music need not be tied to its rich heritage, but heard in the context of a story recounting the indomitable Irish spirit, it comes alive in unique ways. This beautiful mix of celebratory and meditative pieces chronicles the story of the Irish exodus to North America in the wake of the deadly potato famine in the mid-1800s. Spirited jigs and reels and haunting ballads reflect the mix of sadness and hope felt by the people on the boats seeking a better life. Eight of the nine tracks ...

God Bless America: An Irish Salute album
$8.79 Another in the august series of budget-priced hits compilations that flood the market with Motown mania, Motown Chartbusters, Vol. 10 paved the way with golden hits and a few misses from the label's mid- to late-'70s roster. Relying heavily on the super-fabulous Diana Ross and the super-smooth Commodores to carry the weight with a contribution of a scattered six out of 16 songs between them, this compilation is slightly out of balance as Ross powers through the monstrous hits "Love Hangover" and "Theme From Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)," plus the 1979 sleeper "The Boss," while the Commodores tone it down with "Three Times a Lady," "Easy," and "Sail On."
That leaves the rest of the set shuffled in between the main acts in single songs. ...

God Bless America: An Irish Salute CD music
$12.69 The RiverRoad Band is back together and ready to rock after 25 years. This band is hotter than ever and after completeing their debut CD "Dreams". 'The RiverRoad Band' was originaly formed in 1973 under the name River Road. The four original members were Randy Hoggatt: lead/rhythm guitar, lead/backup vocals, song writer, Ron Hoggatt: Drums, Terry Gilpin: bass, backup vocals, song writer, and Mike Hughey: rhythm guitar, lead/backup vocals, song writer, recording and sound engineer. All the members were and still are from Coffeyville, Kansas and were friends before they started the band. In 1975, the band went on the road. They played their four hour set of cover songs from Jackson Browne, Pure Prairie League, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Poco, John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many other 70's country rock artists. The band toured Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas till 1976 when the band came in from the road for the birth of Mike Hughey's son. They would never go out on the road again. After playing a few local gigs, the band broke up and the members all joined other area bands. Since the original members all lived in Coffeyville, it wasn't hard for them to keep in touch and remain friends. After 23 years, these ...
