Recorded at Sony Scoring and Signet Sound Studios, Los Angeles, California. Includes liner notes by Dean Devlin. Original score written by David Arnold. All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology. INDEPENDENCE DAY won a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition Written For A Motion Picture Or For Television. Audio Mixers: Dennis Sands; Todd Ao. Recording information: Signet Sound Studios, Los Angeles, CA; Sony Scoring, Los Angeles, CA. Editor: Laurie Higgins. Like the movie itself, David Arnold's soundtrack to the sci-fi blockbuster Independence Day is all surface and no depth. It blusters and flounders, trying to create suspense, terror and heroic excitement, but it merely sounds obnoxious and brassy. For fans of the film, this will undoubtedly jog some memories of big, scary spaceships but if you're listening purely on musical terms, Independence Day provides no fireworks. ~ Rodney Batdorf

$7.59 Performers include: The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Jean Seberg. Audio Mixers: Kevin Cleary; Thorne Nogar. Recording information: 1969. Illustrator: David Stone Martin. The movie Paint Your Wagon was an attempt to update the plot of an old stage musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, with new songs by André Previn and Lerner. The soundtrack is a peculiar release; in purely musical terms, it would only be of interest to dedicated fans of Harve Presnell (who performs "They Call the Wind Maria") and Anita Gordon, who acquits herself well singing Jean Seberg's part on "A Million Miles Away Behind the Door." ...

At this young age he began to study this most challenging of instruments in the Classical and Flamenco styles. Less than one year later he gave his first public concert.
