Moth Confesses album for sale Product Description
Moth Confesses album for sale by Neon Philharmonic was released Jan 23, 1996 on the Sundazed Music Inc. label. A timepiece in the less impressive sense of the term, seeking to fuse the conceptual ambition and sophisticated production of Pet Sounds and Song Cycle with MOR pop. It doesn't work that well, particularly since songwriter Tupper Saussy is clearly more well-versed in (and comfortable with) MOR pop. The collision of grandoise romantic songs, rococo string arrangements, and a touch of psychedelic experimentation is so bizarre that it exerts a strange fascination, but it doesn't make for durable music. ...See Full Description

Talk Talk It's My Life CD (1984)
Moth Confesses album for sale An early band of New Romantics, they spent some time trying to shake off the image. Vocalist Mark Hollis has a problem insofar that his voice is very much of the New Romantic era, the pristine, pitch-perfect singing style similar to Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet) and Martin Fry (ABC). Hollis's distinctive voice made some good pop songs sound great. The title track, for example, has every synth gimmick under the sun but cannot fail in its infectious spirit. Some splendid old-timers are added to the proceedings; jazz trumpeter Henry Lowther wails beautifully and guitarist Robbie McIntosh excels. Splendid, unchallenging stuff.
Personnel: Mark Hollis (vocals); Robbie McIntosh (guitar); Henry Lowther (trumpet); Phil Ramocon (piano); Tim ...

Ian Hunter Dirty Laundry CD (2007)
Moth Confesses CD music Repressing. 2007 reissue of this album, which has been out of print for nearly a decade. This project was initiated in the summer of 1994 by keyboardist Casino Steel, formerly of the Punk band The Boys, who was planning to record an album with some friends and invited Ian Hunter to join them in the studio. What emerged was a hard rocking affair that saw Hunter return closer to his Mott-ley musical roots than he had in recent years. The roll call of musicians involves reads like a British Punk/New Wave who's who! Specifically guitarist's Honest John Plain and Darrell Bath. Bath could list the UK Subs, Dogs D1Amour and the Godfathers on his CV while Plain had been a Lurker and, with Steel, one of The Boys. A link with the frontman's Mott The Hoople past showed up in the shape of Blue Weaver, who took turns on keyboards with Casino Steel. Sex Pistols bass player Glen Matlock completed the cast list. This release consists of twelve songs; three are Hunter songs, four Hunter collaborations and the other five originate from the rest of the band. Cherry Red.
