| All killers and no fillers
Although I love guitar players Robin Trower escaped my attention. Well, he isn't played on the radio - maybe that's the reason. Anyway one guitar player recommended his "Essential" CD. I listened to a few samples and got hooked. I ordered the record and I'm fully satisfied. All the Trower numbers are real killers an there are no fillers.

| One of the Best
I learned of Robin Trower about 26 yrs ago or so and knew right away, this is quality. I still enjoy the smooth sound of his guitar and always love this all-time "classic" rock n' roll. Wish radio stations played his music. A lot of people are missin' out.

| Big time
I was stationed in Pensacola Fla,1976. Went to see Aerosmith who opened for Robin Trower. That was the best concert I have almost seen. He was just totally awesome. I was hooked from that point foward and I have quite a bit of his music in my collection. and still working on my collection. The guy knows how to rock and roll.

| WHERE IS "DAY OF THE EAGLE "?
I STARTED PLAYING GUITAR AT AGE 8, MY 1ST CONCERT AT DAYTON , OHIOS HARA ARENA WAS ROBIN TOWER BAND & J GEILS, ROBIN CAME OUT BLASTING OUT "DAY OF THE EAGLE" JAMES DEWAR ON VOCALS , I WAS 17, IT WAS 1976. I CAN PLAY ZZTOPS "La Grange" NOTE FOR FREAKIN NOTE. I CUT MY TEETH ON TONY IOMMI'S "WAR PIGS" WHICH I ALSO PLAY NOTE FOR NOTE. I AM NOW 46 AND I STILL CANNOT PLAY THE LEAD TO "DAY OF THE EAGLE" GOD KNOWS I TRIED AND STILL DO. I JUST CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. HE MIGHT AS WELL BE PLAYING IN HIS OWN CUSTOM TUNING BECAUSE IN STANDARD TUNING , I JUST GET FRUSTRATED,, MAYBE. SOMEDAY. KEEP ROCKIN MAN YOUR THE BADDEST STRAT PLAYER ALIVE,,HEY I LIKE CLAPTON, BUT I LOVE LONG SONGS. I CAN PLAY SECTIONS OF "TOO ROLLING STONED" SOLOS ,, GOT THE RHYTHM DOWN FOR "DAY OF THE EAGLE" & "TOO ROLLING STONED". BUT I SEEM TO BE DOOMED TO SIMPLY "FAKE THE SOLOS" TILL I DIE.
