| | Pat Benatar Synchronistic Wanderings CD Pat Benatar Discography of CDs
(43 Customer Reviews)
Includes liner notes by Timothy White, Rick Newman, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.
20 years after rock diva Pat Benatar's debut record, this well-deserved box set of album tracks, unreleased tunes, and soundtrack gems was released. Fans should eschew single-disc hits collections and pick up SYNCHRONISTIC, which does true justice to the career of this opera-trained vocalist from Long Island.
Hard rock tracks such as "Heartbreaker," "You Better Run," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," and "Hell Is for Children," which defined an era of FM radio, are here in abundance. More tender songs such as "We Belong," "Wuthering Heights," and "Shooting Star" (her tribute to Harry Chapin) show off Benatar's multi-octave range. Pat also delivers the blues on "Payin' the Cost to Be the Boss" and "True Love." "Rescue Me" from the SPEED soundtrack is one of the many lost classics in this set. SYNCHRONISTIC WANDERINGS is the complete Pat Benatar, and will expose listeners to a wealth of lesser-known material that kicks just as hard as the Top 40 mainstays. A true delight!

She has, once again...hit us with her best shot!!!! Yes...Pat Benatar has done it again!!! I don't believe she is capable of doing or singing anything other than "Grade A" material. I went to Laughlin,NV recently to see her and again, her voice gave me chills!! She is, without a doubt, the greatest female vocalist of our time. May her "star" continue to shine brightly for all of us. Thank you Ms.Benatar. You are,as they say, "The Bomb".....Lynn Holland, CA.
