| A Glorious Cinematic Triumph!
The Bard would be proud of this fantastic movie version of his great, great play! Every word is true to the play and yet it is so easy to understand and even easier to Love! Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio, Tybalt and the Nurse are played to perfection by the cast members, and I doubt that a film version will EVER be done to equal Franco Zefferelli's production! A favorite moment is the wonderful song sung at the party where Romeo and Juliet first meet called, "What Is A Youth?" The movie is a glorious cinematic triumph!

Romeo and Juliet video this is a great movie. it tells the classic story for a newer crowd. i was most impressed with the actors.

With all due respect to Laurence Olivier (who is the unbilled Chorus in this film) and Kenneth Branagh, this is all in all the most successful adaptation of a Shakespeare play to the screen.
