Still blows me away Orca: The Killer Whale review Dino DeLaurentiis does it again in this phenomenal tale of Revenge that mixes all of the thrilling aspects of Jaws with the dark brooding and methodical tones and pacing of films like Jamaica Inn and The Name of the Rose. Richard Harris and Charlotte Rampling provide a dynamic that is rarely seen anymore in Hollwood, because it requires too much thought. She loves him, but what he is doing is Soooooo wrong that she can't let herself. Even though this movie is only on VHS and has (probably) the goofiest cover of all time, I can guarantee it's quality. This movie also happens to be one of the main reasons why I hold CD UNIVERSE in such high regard. Often times you can ask for this movie in you local video store and they will tell you that it is either on back order with the distributer or that it is out of print. CD Universe has it hands down and it only takes 1 to 2 days to ship!!! You have to end up rooting for the whale. PLUS, the music is fabulous! The music alone makes this a 4 star movie. Then, the movie itself makes it up to five stars.
