Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Jake Briggs (Kevin Bacon) has been in love with Kristy Bainbridge (Elizabeth McGovern) since he was a teenager. They marry right after college and embark on their new life together, with all of its ups and downs. Told largely through the eyes of narrator Jake, a would-be author who is prone to fits of fanciful, humorous hallucination--such as lawn-mowing neighbors breaking into song--this John Hughes film deals with the trials and tribulations of growing up and the responsibilities that come with marriage, adulthood, jobs, and children. Alec Baldwin appears as Davis McDonald, Jake's best friend, who is living life in the fast lane in New York, making Jake doubt his complacent, suburban lifestyle. Bacon and McGovern are believable as wide-eyed newlyweds dealing with the realities of "happily ever after," such as finding a job, paying the mortgage, and dealing with in-laws. The closing credits are enlivened by a parade of celebrities, including Kirstie Alley, Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, Olivia Newton-John, Stewart Copeland, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, John Candy, Penny Marshall, Ally Sheedy, and many others. Theatrical release: February 1988.
The license plate on the BMW reads SHAB, an acronym for the film's title.

She's Having A Baby movie DVD
$8.85 She's Having a Baby was the last in a series of 1980s coming-of-age movies written and usually directed by John Hughes, following Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Pretty in Pink (1986), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and Some Kind of Wonderful (1987). In the earlier films, Hughes had focused on high school, but She's Having a Baby traced the lives of a young couple from marriage to the birth of their first child. It was a comedy-drama examining American middle-class mores in the '80s, and Stewart Copeland's score matched its tone, while such musical inclusions as the male lead character's labored attempt at procreation to the tune of Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang" added humorous elements. You won't hear any of that music on the original motion-picture soundtrack, however. Hughes had a track record for assembling successful soundtrack albums, notably getting gold-record certifications for The Breakfast Club (which featured the number one hit "[Don't You] Forget About Me") and Pretty in Pink. Although She's Having a Baby was set in Chicago, he put together a ten-track album of recordings by British acts, including a title song from ex-English Beat singer Dave Wakeling; new songs from XTC, Everything but the Girl, and Kate Bush that touched on ...

$7.09 Allan Dwan's anti-McCarthy parable, set in the Old West, stars John Payne as Dan Ballard, a man falsely accused of murder. On the day of his marriage to Lizabeth Scott (Rose Evans), Ned McCarthy (sic) (Dan Duryea)rides into town claiming to be a U.S. Marshall, accompanied by three unsavory looking 'deputies', to arrest Ballard for the murder of McCarthy's brother. Ballard's friends spring to his defense, but he refuses to allow violence. He realizes that McCarthy is a fake, but explains that he shot the man in self-defense, and asks for two hours to clear himself, and Duryea agrees. When Ballard goes to the telegraph office to check on Duryea, he finds that the wires have been cut. He then learns, from Johnson (Harry Carey Jr.), one of Duyea's men, that he's no marshall, and in fact, is wanted for murder. When Ballard returns to town, he finds that McCarthy has won over a few locals who already disliked him, due to the success of his ranch. Local sherrif ...
