| G I BLUES Elvis's film were always below par but his singing and songs are enjoyable. By RietteZ (South Africa) |
| Not filmed in Germany..but not bad Elvis refused to capitalize on his Service when he refused to join entertainment services in Germany, so he could not have been thrilled with this lame, humourless script. But Elvis is Elvis. and he sings beautifully. Simply put. watch it for the music/production numbers. By Phil S. (CA, USA) |
| ANSWERS THE QUESTION WHY WE LOVE ELVIS. JULIET PROWSE IS WONDERFUL. THIS MOVIE SHOWS WHAT A DANCER SHE WAS. HER BEAUTY AND CHARM COME THROUGH THE SCREEN AND MATCH UP WITH ELVIS DEVIL-MAY-CARE ATTITUDE. A FAMILY MOVIE, A DATE MOVIE AND NOSTALGIC TOO. START TO BUY THESE ELVID FILMS AND MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY. | U.S. ARMY occupation Blues "BIG BOOTS" This Paramount production shines all the "Big Boots." First there's the DOD, then our U.S. ARMY, and that's some very XL boots. The movie is classic Elvis Presley format:He sings with some buddies, throws a few punches, meets some pretty girls/ladies, has a few beers, gets in a few fisticuffs, sings some more, maybe is derrelict in duty, sings his way out of dutch, another fight, meets more pretty ladies, sings again. END. Good songs, filmed in Germany, you can't go wrong. Only drawback is the fake Stereo soundtrack. Stereo started, in Rock ' N ' Roll with THE BEATLES "Rubber Soul" 1965 LP.G.I. Blues is truly "A really Big Shoe!" Any Q&A from Benny Goodman to The YardbiRds, I just might have the answer. End, _____________________________apa.
