| | Anna Welcome Home Jessica CD (2003)
Bill Kleoppel album
$11.39 Jessica Lynch's parents met Anna at their home in Palestine, West Virginia to graciously accept copies of Anna's CD titled Welcome Home Jessica (to West Virginia). West Virginia radio stations, press and ABC-TV in Beckley and Pittsburgh opened their arms to Anna, the teenager from Connecticut. Letters from both Governor Wise of West Virginia and former Governor Cuomo of New York personally thanked Anna for what they described as inspiring music. Anna has yet to realize her dream of personally singing this song for Jessica and returning POW's. Perhaps that day will come soon.Anna (age 16 when she wrote the song) was fearful and extremely distraught after 9/11 & the Iraq War. She felt renewed hope when Jessica Lynch & the POW's were rescued. Like all teens across America, feelings of security were now being wiped out and replaced by insecurity, fear, anxiety and doubts about their future in a world now filled with terror. This aspiring singer/songwriter woke one spring morning to a sunny day when she felt compelled to take a walk in her mother's garden. Anna became overwhelmed with the presence of a song. Anna says it had to be a song from God as there was a great need to welcome our boys and girls and our men and women home from combat. Welcome Home Jessica (to West Virginia) was born.Anna, a very spiritual girl, is the daughter of a minister and a registered nurse. After months of despair, a visit to the United States at the age of 18 months brought the first miracle for Anna. Facial surgery that physicians in the Carpathian Mountains were unable to perform, claimed success by a Connecticut surgeon. Tears turned to joy as Anna no longer looked in the mirror asking if she'd ever be pretty. She is very pretty; both outside and in. Anna's parents and brother immigrated to the United States, became citizens and are very proud to be Americans. Anna invited two artists she believes in to contribute to this compilation album of "Healing" music. ...
| | Justin David It's Just Me CD (2004)
Bill Kleoppel CD music
$17.09 Starting at the age of four, with a mandolin his Grandparents would give to him on his fifth birthday Justin started his pursuit of a life in music. He developing a portfolio of tunes, by listening to his Dad whistle the melodies over and over until he was able to duplicate them on his mandolin. Over the next few years he would learn to play guitar and fiddle along with singing in jam bands in the Marshfield, MO area where he was raised. Justin's parents William Jack Bertoldie and Judy Bertoldie always made sure that Justin was involved in anything musical that he wanted to be a part of. This consisted of countless weekends at dance parties, bluegrass festivals, fiddle contests, and any other shindig that had a corner big enough to play in. With little coaxing Justin would form a band with brother John Bertoldie, sister Jana Bertoldie Pate and long time family friend Allan Cantrell and the Bertoldie Family Band was born. This would prove to be the foundation for skills Justin would use the rest of his life. The Bertoldie Family Band performed for six years through the Mid West, developing a loyal fan base, which still exists today.During this period of time, Justin also met Missouri natives Art Galbraith and Gordan McCann who helped Justin become involved with the National Endowment of Arts, Master Apprenticeship program, that introduced Justin to a new world of fiddle music. It developed Justin's appreciation for Missouri's old time fiddle tunes that he hopes to help keep alive for generations to enjoy. In 1990 and 1991, Justin entered into the mandolin competition at the Walnut Valley National Flat picking Contest, held annually in Winfield, KS. He would place second, both years behind players from Japan and Czechoslovakia. After things started slowing down with his family band, Justin decided to go full time playing in Branson, MO with the Braschler ...
| | Marci Salyer Bluegrass State Of Mind CD (2004)
Bill Kleoppel music CDs
$15.19 I grew up in Carver, Kentucky-a big town of about 50 people located 13 miles south of Salyersville, which is a thriving metropolis of about 1400. I am the daughter of Bluegrass musician extraordinaire and ex lead singer and guitar player for Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys, South Salyer, and world's greatest mother, Christine Salyer. I am the product of a good Eastern Kentucky raisin' and hundreds of Bluegrass festivals. I like to say, "I grew up at Bluegrass festivals."I began singing at the ripe-old age of 2, but I was probably 5 or 6 before I knew there was music other than country, bluegrass and The Beatles. Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn were my idols; they still are. I also loved Merle Haggard, George Jones, Mel Tillis, etc. Once I found other influences, I became a sponge-CCR, Rod Stewart, KISS, then Styx, Queen, the whole disco movement, and most especially, The Eagles. I began performing with my dad's band at the age of 13 and traveled with him until I was 21. In the late 70's, close to the time I began performing, I saw a band called Spectrum, made up of Glenn Lawson, Jimmy Gaudrau, Bela Fleck, and Mark Schatz. Not only were they awesome pickers and singers, but they melded musical styles and genres to create something unique and wonderful. Spectrum only existed for a short time, but they would forever change the way I would look at Bluegrass-maybe music in general. I always loved Bluegrass, but being a bit of a rebel, I needed to explore other options. I screamed some punk rock and had purple hair; you might imagine that my dad was just thrilled-yeah, right. I got over that, but I was still searching. When I went to college, I played ...

$13.15 Wow. Six years of life crammed into 600 Million bunches of ones and zeros. Somewhat of an appropriate summary in a cosmic way. Thoughts, feelings, decisions, love, hurt, and pain all bundled into a perpetual string of dichotomy. Every one a yes, every no a zero. But all culled from the syncopated timeline of life. And like all life, it has to change or end somewhere. This one ends with a bountiful 15, to make up for the diminuitive 7 on the last. I hope it rings as true or truer. More doesn't always mean better, ...
