Da End furthers the horrorcore style that Three 6 Mafia had unveiled on their cult favorite Mystic Stylez debut, except here the overall tone is one of outright violence rather than eerie ominousness. Moreover, the sound quality here is much improved, as producers Juicy J and DJ Paul lay down the sort of hard-hitting, bottom-heavy beats that would define not only the remainder of their career but that of the entire Dirty South movement that would soon blossom. Much like the very similar Chapter 2 album that would follow within a year's time, the balance here between the underground essence of Mystic Stylez, typified by the horrorcore lyrics and haunting ambience, and the accessibility of latter-day Three 6 Mafia, typified by the markedly improved sound quality and more developed song structures, makes Da End an excellent starting point for the uninitiated. Hard cd from top to bottom! Three 6 delivers another banger that is a Memphis classic. This cd caught the attention of major labels because they signed a deal shortly after. The entire Mafia was here DJ Paul, Juicy J, Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black, Gangsta Boo, and Koopsta Knicca. My favorites are "Good Stuff", the underground classic "Where Is Da Bud", the Playa Fly diss "Gotcha Shakin", and "Body Parts" featuring MC Mack, K-Rock, Indo G, M-Child, and Gangsta Blac. Get this cd!!

This is the best stuff!!!! you cant go wrong with the old school 3-6. the new stuff is "o.k" but they aint sh*t without lord infamous and koopsta knicca...

three 6 mafia: The End is a classic like many others. i cant say which cd is my favorite becuz they have far too many of them. i ve herd most of their tracks including most of their underground tracks its all raw and in my oppinion any true fan wouldnt be able to pick a favorite

I say this is 3 6 's 3rd best after World Domination and Mystic Stylez . MOST KNOWN UNKNOWN is their worst by far!!! but it's ok benny cuz we know u have bad taste in rap...your from England...
