She's So Unusual album for sale by Cyndi Lauper was released Nov 21, 2000 on the Epic Legacy label. Also available in a 3-pack with TRUE COLORS and HAT FULL OF STARS. She's So Unusual CD music Once the orange-haired Lauper dropped the contrived, dumb, cutesy, lispy broad persona, Cyndi Lauper was seen as a credible artist, and has subsequently become highly respected as a terrific songwriter. On this, her pen was sharpened with the magnificent song of unconditional love, "Time After Time," a track that has since been recorded by others, including beautiful cover versions by Miles Davis and the jazz husband-and-wife duo, Tuck And Patti. She's So Unusual CD music contains a single disc with 13 songs. ...See Full Description

||A remastered cd missing a important track|
I love this album more than True Colors and own the original releases on cd but when I saw that this album is reissued and remastered I thought "Great!, The B-Side to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun will be finally included as a bonus track!" Boy was I wrong! I was disapointed that Right Track Wrong Train wasn't on the remastered cd and further more was never released on the album in the first placed and should have been. I could do without He's so unusual and Right Track Wrong Train would be in it's place and the last song on side A would be She-Bop (why the different version on the lp than the single release that we all are used too isn't on the album, I don't know?) and the album would be a masterpiece to me! People forget the B-Sides that could have been part of the albums in the first place and forgotten again when a remastered cd comes out and there are bonus tracks, but not those good B-Sides. For example take alook at the George Harrison's album Cloud 9. The B-Side to Got My Mind Set On You is Lay His Head. The song is not part of the album in the first place and then not part of the remastered cd too. What a disapointment and a crock of poop! What is with these record labels?

||Girls (and guys) still just wanna have fun!|
Cyndi Lauper became an instant sensation with "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," which was the world's first introduction to the quirky, orange-haired diva in the bargain-store dress. Three other songs from her debut album, "She's So Unusual," landed in the top five ("She Bop," "All Through The Night," and "Time After Time" which made it all the way to #1). But this album is much more than just the hits. Cyndi covers a Prince song ("When U Were Mine") and honestly does it better than the Purple One could have done it himself. "I'll Kiss You" and "Yeah Yeah" are perfect party tunes, and the ska-flavored "Witness" is reminiscent of early Police or the English Beat. The quirkiest moment of all is "He's So Unusual," the 45-second introduction to "Yeah Yeah" and a 1929 novelty tune which Cyndi sings Betty Boop-style. After almost an album's worth of new-wave synth-rockers and a few ballads, it's jarring, and it totally works. Of course, all this wouldn't mean much if Cyndi didn't have that powerful voice, able to convey so many emotions, from the shrieks and hiccups that became her trademark to her almost tear-stained delivery on "Time After Time" (which was accompanied by a heartrending video). This album is a must for any fan of '80s music, especially of the new wave/synth-pop variety, and is a good album for those new to the music of this amazing woman. Long live Cyndi!

this cd is absolutely one of the greatest of our time. She gives us music to dance to and music to cry to. This album was her first and it was her best. I love all her albums, but this one stays in my car at all times. She's great on cd and equally as great in concert. If you haven't seen her... u need to.

||Cyndi sings her heart out|
Her first album, and by far her best, She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper captures the excitement of the 80's. Her power ballads in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, She Bop and her soft,tender songs in When You Were Mine,Time After Time and All Through The Night are among the best songs of the 80's ever. This is a must see album for all 80's lovers. Cyndi, you're #1 in my heart forever.
