Truth album for sale by Jeff Beck was released on the Legacy label. The Jeff Beck Group's debut, 1968's TRUTH remains a stunner, probably the best work of the guitarist's long career. Perhaps energized by the bust-up of the Yardbirds, Beck is positively overflowing with ideas throughout the entire album, which pointedly starts with a completely different recasting of the Yardbirds hit "Shapes of Things." TRUTH then continues through an impressively varied set of tunes, ranging from an achingly slow, bluesy version of the Broadway standard "Ol' Man River" to a technically astounding acoustic solo version of "Greensleeves" and a killer pair of Willie Dixon covers including a take on "You Shook Me" that shreds Led Zeppelin's contemporaneous version. beck
rod stewart lead vocals...ron wood now a stone..once a small faces.( rods backup) on quitar.... as some originals have played find him any old woman ..don't let this wonderful t-shirt- thing get away rod sings old man river outstanding/ question?..did producers robb...and a kansas city record label ever really plan to try to deliver their promised album...

If anybody thinks he knows everything about the sixties and doesn�t know this album, he is wrong. Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart and Ron Wood at the beginning of their careers and on top of their musical creativity.
