Gentle Side Of John Coltrane album for sale this album was recorded on new year's eve in greenville, south carolina...what a gig!!! everybody was happy and we had a great time being treated as kings. we had met mike collins in colorado at a gig and he just fell in love with the band and hired us on the spot for his party. he flew us all from the west coast to south carolina provided for us way beyond the call of duty and we just had a great time...maybe a little too much of a great time but the gig itself was incredible. they (mike and company) took an airport hanger and transformed it into the most lavish looking place in the world everyone was chauffered to the gig and you walked inside and you just couldn't believe what you saw it was unbelievable. we included mustand sally on the recording because it was the only song that hurricane jake sang that night and he passed away a year later from cancer so as a tribute to jake we left that on the cd, he loved life and he was loving it that night (maybe not the next morning). this is the joy of music and where it takes you when you are too busy having fun it has a power of it's own i truly believe this is proof that the invisible can come into the visible if you love what ...
