| | Nathan & The Zydeco Cha-Chas Let's Go CD Nathan & The Zydeco Cha-Chas Discography of CDs
From "Let's Go," the first track on the album, be prepared to be rocked in the good old Louisiana fashion, because that's the way Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas do it. This song serves to showcase everybody in the band as they all have their own little solo, even the rub board player gets a chance to shine. If the search is for melodic tunes, this album certainly fits the bill. With 14 original tunes that have a familiar charm, it won't be long until one finds themselves singing along. It could also be the charismatic piano accordion playing from Nathan Williams that attracts many a listener. Or quite possibly it's the tight arrangements that fill the album that pull the listener's ear to the groove. Whatever it is that attracts the listener to Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas, it's common opinion that they have found the perfect formula that keeps the party going and going all night long. This album is a prime example of what Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas can do with playful lyrics and bouncing rhythms. They have captured the essence of vibrant and colorful Louisiana music at its finest, as one will find on "Zydeco Rumble" (which has been used on commercials for Louisiana tourism). The lyrics are provocative and entertaining, keeping the listener sitting on the edge of their seat with keen interest, as in the bluesy "Hard Times." This is far from being the typical Zydeco album, it is as original and fresh as one can hope to find within the genre. Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas have bestowed Cajun/Zydeco fans with an extraordinary dance music album that will have everyone shouting, "Let's Go!" one more time. ~ Larry Belanger

| | Marty Robbins Rockin' Rollin' Robbins CD (1985) (Import) Germany
Let's Go CD music
$21.15 Contains Columbia label recordings from the mid-1950's and a 12 page booklet.
In Bear Family's atypically exhaustive fashion, the label has gone to the vaults to track down all of Marty Robbins' pre-rock & roll sides from 1953 ("It's a Long Ride") and 1954 ("Call Me Up"), as well as four bluesed-out cuts from that year that remained shelved until after his death in 1982, to the 1955-1957 rockabilly material. There are 19 cuts here, and they are sequenced according to rock & roll aesthetic rather than chronologically. And this makes sense, as "It's a Long Long Ride" is as much a honky tonk and Western swing tune as it is a rockabilly number. What makes it rock & roll at all is the shivering, reckless energy in the vocal -- something ...

| | Josh Bledsoe Days Will Never End CD (2008)
Let's Go songs
$14.79 Pleasant Hill, Ohio’s Josh Bledsoe started writing songs at the age of 17 while he was still in high school and released his first album, the humorously but not ironically titled "Life is Pretty Good" in 2004 at the age of 20. The disc was a snapshot of a young singer/songwriter finding a positive voice in a troubling world. It was warmly received and earned him a small but earnest local following.Josh, now 24, with a few more years of writing and performing under his belt, returns with a more confident, more accomplished second album, "The Days Will Never End." From the delightfully catchy opener, “A Lot Left to Learn,” to the thoughtful, introspective title track that closes the album, "Days" is a lovely, warm, mellow disc that will stay with the listener long after it stops spinning.Recorded over the last two years whenever Josh had a little free time between his classes and part time job, "The Days Will Never End" is truly a labor of love. He worked again with two talented musicians who were major contributors to his first album: Brett Clark, owner of Bridge Street Media, who recorded and engineered the album, also playing bass guitars and keyboards on some of the songs, and family friend Joseph Helfrich, who came on board to once again add amazing touches to the songs, including backing ...
