Bells Of St. Mary's review Product Description
Bells Of St. Mary's movie was released Sep 14, 2004 by the Artisan studio. This GOING MY WAY sequel stars Bing Crosby, reprising his role as worldly-wise Father Chuck O'Malley, and introduces Crosby's beloved song "Aren't You Glad You're You?" Father O'Malley is transferred to the soon-to-be-condemned school run by Sister Benedict (Ingrid Bergman), and the two quickly match wits and stubbornness, eventually finding a middle ground. Bells Of St. Mary's VHS A surprisingly light touch of sentimentality and humor gives this film by director Leo McCarey a glow of genuine feeling that effortlessly captures viewers' hearts.
Though the debate still rages over which Father O'Malley film is better (GOING MY WAY or THE BELLS OF ST Bells Of St. Mary's movie. MARY'S), the two films' nominations in back-to-back years for the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Song Academy Awards declare that both films are a treat to watch Bells Of St. Mary's video.
In the movie, Bing sings "Adeste Fidelis," "The Bells of St Bells Of St. Mary's film. Mary's," and "O Sanctissima" with a children's choir and "Aren't You Glad You're You" and "In the Land of Beginning Again" solo.

Timeless Indgrid and Bing never touch in this film. Through masterful writing and legendary acting the love and emotion between the two is more intense than anything you will see on screen today. By dolvindw (Upper Marlboro, MD, USA) This review is for a different format.
A Classic Christmas Tale "The Bells of St. Mary's" is is an outstanding Christmas tale which ranks right up there with "Miracle on 34th Street," "It's a Wonderful Life," and the more recently produced "A Christmas Story" as must-see annual yuletide fare. The performances of Crosby, Bergman, and Travers--as well as eight Academy Award nomininations--mark this film as one of the best of its era. I highly recommend "The Bells of St. Mary's". Buy it now, and enjoy it during this holiday season! By sebekm (Georgia, USA) This review is for a different format.
Solid Gold from the Past An interesting, humorous and heart-warming story. Outstanding performances by Bergman, Crosby, and Travers. DVD quality is excellent for a vintage movie. I just wish it is in color. By grove900 (Phoenix, AZ) This review is for a different format.
