 | A Classic Christmas Tale "The Bells of St. Mary's" is is an outstanding Christmas tale which ranks right up there with "Miracle on 34th Street," "It's a Wonderful Life," and the more recently produced "A Christmas Story" as must-see annual yuletide fare. The performances of Crosby, Bergman, and Travers--as well as eight Academy Award nomininations--mark this film as one of the best of its era. I highly recommend "The Bells of St. Mary's". | Solid Gold from the Past An interesting, humorous and heart-warming story. Outstanding performances by Bergman, Crosby, and Travers. DVD quality is excellent for a vintage movie. I just wish it is in color. By grove900 (Phoenix, AZ) |
| Wonderful I have always enjoyed watching this movie. It is very appropriate for any era, regarding right and wrong and how love, and patience can eventually help resolve any human issue. If you haven't seen it I encourage you to watch. It is definitely a chick flic, but guys will learn something about being truthful and caring at the same time.
