91 minute feature film DVD featuring 24 hours in the life of a group of contemporary teenagers who, like all teenager s, think they are invincible. A bleak and uncompromising look at the dangerous world of New York street kids. The film focuses on the sexual experiences of Telly, a teen-aged seducer who desires only virgins. When Jennie -- who's had sex solely with Telly -- tests HIV positive, she frantically searches the city to tell him he's infected. Eventually, she finds him, but too late, for he's already deflowered his latest adolescent conquest. A group of street-tough Manhattan teens fight, party, take drugs, have sex and scoff at the consequences in this unflinching account of one day in their lives. Larry Clark's controversial, bleak portrait of societal decay originally garnered an NC-17 rating, which the filmmakers surrendered, opting instead to release the film unrated. Directorial debut for still photographer Larry Clark, whose work has inspired such filmmakers as Gus Van Sant ("Drugstore Cowboy,") Martin Scorsese ("Taxi Driver") and Francis Ford Coppola ("Rumble Fish"). Clark admits that he convinced himself to make a film after seeing Van Sant's film, which was itself influenced by Clark's pictures.
Produced by Independent and Guys Upstairs.
Color by Technicolor.
Additional credits: Ford Wheeler (set decorator); Charles R. Hunt (sound mixer) and Tracy Warbin (make-up, hairstylist).
Although the film was rated NC-17 by the MPAA, it was released unrated. As of 7/17/1995, the NC-17 rating has been surrendered.

Eye Opener The shock value of this film is enough to make it an interesting flick. That, coupled with excellent acting by all involved, especially Justin Pierce, gives the viewer an in-depth look into many of the vices that plague todays youth. Reply for Karen Larry Clark's KIDS is a satire on what he himself views as the real degradation of morals and social decay; the same things you fear. The movie is an extreme representation of a mid 90's new york that was all too real with so many kids not knowing about anything. YOu should see a doc. on larry clark's life and how messed up the town of tulsa was. Submitted by Vik (NYC, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$20.35 More a poetic collage than a narrative story, GUMMO presents the viewer with a lavish feast of images--some disturbing, some gorgeous, all memorable. In the small impoverished town of Xenia, Ohio, Solomon (Jacob Reynolds) and Tummler (Nick Sutton) spend their teenage boyhood killing cats, sniffing glue, and generally trying to alleviate their boredom. The town's other residents find their own amusements. Solomon's mother (Linda Manz, of DAYS OF HEAVEN, a film that GUMMO's dreamlike imagery evokes) tap-dances, local teen siren Dot (Chloë Sevigny) puts tape on her nipples, and Bunny Boy (Jacob Sewell) explores the desolate suburban landscape on his skateboard, wearing pink rabbit ears. Xenia and its inhabitants have never quite recovered ...

Needing a bigger supply of drugs, he travels to Columbia and meets Pablo Escobar (Cliff Curtis). Before long, George becomes the biggest trafficker of cocaine in the United States. $10.05 For his follow-up to his darkly brilliant debut, PI, director Darren Aronofsky chose to adapt a tough and meaty piece of work: Hubert Selby's 1968 novel REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, a dark spiral into the abyss of barren fantasies doomed to extinction. However, in Aronofsky's frenetic, visionary, unique, and disturbing style lies the perfect setting for this story of four people whose intertwined lives are filled with eternally hopeful despair. This is a different sort of horror film. Harry Goldfarb (Jared Leto) and Marion Silver (Jennifer Connelly) are lovers in Brooklyn with dreams of setting up a small business and spending the rest of their lives in love--their version of the American dream. The two are also desperate heroin addicts, a compulsion that darkens their lives and leads Harry to repeatedly pawn his mother's television. His mother, Sara Goldfarb (Ellen Burstyn), is addicted to television, which is why she keeps replacing the stolen set. One day she receives a call from her favorite show, the surreal TAPPY TIBBONS SHOW, and learns that she has been selected ...

$10.05 Bobby Kent (Nick Stahl) is not a nice guy. He beats up his "best friend" Marty every chance he gets, he abuses Marty's girlfriend Lisa, and he rapes Lisa's friend Ali. From director Larry Clark (KIDS) and screenwriter David McKenna (AMERICAN HISTORY X) comes this gruelling thriller based on the true story of Bobby Kent, a bossy Florida teenager who was beaten to death by a group of his peers.
There isn't a lot to do in the suburban Florida town that Bobby and his "friends" inhabit. They play violent shoot-em-up video games, they work at the Pizza Hut, they go surfing at the beach, and they cruise in their hot rods. But mostly, Bobby and his friends have lots of sex. The film is drenched in graphic shots of barely legal naked teenagers. (This has been Clark's favorite subject matter since his days as a photographer, as illustrated in his 1997 book TEENAGE LUST.) ...
