| | Jack Off Jill Covetous Creature CD Jack Off Jill Discography of CDs
(3 Customer Reviews)
Jack Off Jill's lead singer, Jessicka, is quite the screamer. Just when you get tired of her little girl voice, she lets out a few screams to balance things out. Covetous Creature is a remix EP with several different producers. Cute screams and some decent lewd songs, including two mixes of "My Cat" ("He's a pussy superstar") make this almost a worthy find. Warning: This EP does contain several irritating "hidden tracks" after the last listed remix (the tracks themselves are not necessarily irritating, but the lengthy silent passages between them are). ~ Tim Griggs

Jack Off Jill Covetous Creature Songs Covetous Creature Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) ***** joj just ahead of their time probably the most unappreciated band i'd say by far for those of us who followed joj since day1 and who know this band is talented beyond it's music or even it's fans. | | Lacuna Coil Comalies CD (2002)
Covetous Creature album
$12.39 Representing a classic case of delayed fame, Italian goth-metal act Lacuna Coil broke into the American music consciousness via a much talked-about showing on the Ozzfest 2004 second stage, nearly two years after the release of their third album, COMALIES. Similar to its American counterparts Evanescence, this European sextet features the dual vocals of Cristina Scabbia and her male counterpart, Andrea Ferro. Despite the liberal amounts of keyboards added to the mix, guitarists Cristiano Migliore and Marco Biazzi more than hold their own, pumping choppy riffs into the 1980s-sounding "Self Deception" and the simmering opener "Swamped." What makes Lacuna Coil so unique in an often musically conservative genre is the band's ability to dabble with ethereal dynamics. Such is the case with the soaring title cut and equally ...

Covetous Creature music CDs
$9.75 Released in concert with their first new studio recording in years (Another Case of Brewtality), this collection of classic old-school Gang Green numbers appeared on the band's longtime indie label, Tang!, in 1997. While Chris Doherty (vocals and guitars) leads the group (including bassist Bill Manley and drummer Mike Dean) through a myriad of blisteringly fast and mercifully short punk ...
| | Jackson Browne Running On Empty CD (1977)
Covetous Creature songs
$5.99 Also available with JACKSON BROWNE (SATURATE BEFORE USING) on 1 cassette.
An audacious concept album about life on the road, this is a mix of in concert performances and informal sessions taped in various hotel rooms (see "Shaky Town," although it's hard to believe that Browne, by then a major star, was actually staying at a Holiday Inn). It's very '70s--the overall aura of cocaine-fueled decadence is almost palpable--but it works far better than you'd expect, and the songs are consistently memorable, even if Browne didn't write them all.
High points include a stunning half hotel/half concert version of Danny O'Keefe's "The Road," still the best song ever written about the life of a travelling musician, and the closing medley of the roadie anthem ...
