Orig. theatri cal & alternate ( news ) trailer, HBO behide-the-scenes vers. 1, 2, & 3, TV spots. A cop receives lots of media attention when he nabs an infamous, sadistic killer at an amusement park. The murderer stews in jail for seven years, obsessively following the rising career of his arresting officer, who becomes a DA with a promising future, a husband, and a dad. This doesn't sit well with the vengeful convict, who after escaping from prison, puts into play a series of fiendish plots in an attempt to destroy the attorney's marriage and career. And only by engaging in a violent rematch with his diabolical nemesis will the desecrated DA be able to clear his name and save his marriage. $7.99 Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Wesley Snipes, Giancarlo Esposito, John Turturro, Samuel L. Jackson - Dir:Spike Lee A trumpeter thinks his life is complicated when he must choose between his two girlfriends, but things get worse when he is called upon to come to the aid of his manager and childhood friend.
Spike Lee ventures into the world of jazz music with this stylish romantic drama. Forced by his mother to study the trumpet, Bleek Gilliam (Denzel Washington) has grown up to become the leader of a successful jazz quintet. Managed by his inept friend, Giant (Lee), Bleek clashes with fellow band member Shadow Henderson (Wesley Snipes). Making matters worse is Bleek's romantic situation: trying to balance two different women at the same time--schoolteacher Indigo Downes (Joie Lee) and aspiring singer Clarke Bentancourt (Cynda Williams). In a hysterical moment, the line is blurred when, while making love, Bleek calls each woman by the other's name. As he struggles to keep the quintet alive and flourishing, he must decide once and for all what it is he really wants: Indigo, Clarke, or his trumpet. The son of jazz musician Bill Lee, who contributes music to the film, Lee has written a script that crackles with witty ...

$10.29 John Creasy (Denzel Washington) is a lost soul. A former government operative, he has become an alcoholic nomad, searching for inspiration and redemption. An old friend (Christopher Walken) who lives in Mexico gets Creasy a job as a bodyguard for nine-year-old Lupita "Pita" Ramos (Dakota Fanning), the daughter of Mexican Samuel (Marc Anthony) and his American wife Lisa (Radha Mitchell). Creasy's primary job is to protect Pita from the kidnapping attempts that are an increasing menace to the children of Mexico City's wealthy. A man of few words and many secrets, Creasy initially balks at Pita's attempts to befriend him, but soon a bond grows between the precocious child and this lonely man who is tormented by his past. When Pita is kidnapped despite Creasy's valiant attempts to save her, he will do anything to bring all of those involved to justice. His fury unravels a net of almost unimaginable corruption and greed in the process. Director Tony Scott (TOP GUN, CRIMSON TIDE) builds the relationship between Creasy and Pita in the first half of the film in order to justify Creasy's violent actions in the latter ...
