| Great Classic Western
Red River is undoubtedly one of the best Westerns ever. It's an interesting story full of action and tension, told with great skill and expert pacing by Howard Hawks, and with a supporting cast that complements Wayne very well.

I hadn't seen this film in decades, but was inspired to by it by the recent release of a new recording of the music on the Naxos label as part of their film scores series - interesting music by Dmitri Tiomkin.
