This 87 minute feature film is a DVD starring Elizabeth Shu e and Aaron Eckhart. John Duigan's film is the story of Molly (Elizabeth Shue), a functioning autistic with a learning disorder who was institutionalized when her parents died. Fifteen years later Molly is forced to reenter society after the government tightens its monetary belt. She moves in with her big brother Buck (Aaron Eckhart), who tries desperately to juggle his advertising career with his new responsibility, but Molly's antics cost him his job, and the frustrated Buck is unsure how to handle his eccentric sister. When Molly lands herself in an advanced facility and reunites with Sam (Thomas Jane), a loyal and thoughtful employee at her previous institution, everyone seems happy. Things change drastically when she becomes the prime candidate for undergoing an experimental surgery that will make her a normal and functioning human being. At first the surgery doesn't appear to work, but eventually she opens up, creating a whole new series of issues and deeper understandings. Her struggle to comprehend the outside world brings her closer to her brother and to all those around her. Molly's infectious joy and vision of the world changes those who come into contact with the free-spirited young woman. Molly (Elisabeth Shue) is a functioning autistic who has been living isolated in a government facility for the last fifteen years, after the death of her parents. When the government closes the facility down, her brother Buck (Aaron Eckhart), is forced to take her in, much to his dissatisfaction. When Molly is invited to participate in a radical new surgery to possibly revoke the symptoms of autism, Buck reluctantly agrees. At first the surgery doesn't appear to work but suddenly Molly opens up to the world and sees life completely differently, full of questions and confusing longings, Molly changes the lives of those around her forever.
"Those lobsters live in a tank. They're someone's pets. Why would you eat someone's pets?"--Molly (Elizabeth Shue) to Buck (Aaron Eckhart)
"There's a real person in there Mr. McKay. She wants to come out."--Sam (Thomas Jane) to Buck
"I think that's what I find most strange about this world--is that nobody ever says how they feel. They hurt, but they don't cry out. They're happy, but they don't dance or jump around. And they're angry but they hardly ever scream. Because they feel ashamed. Nothing's worse than that. So we all walk around with our heads looking down and never look up and see how beautiful the sky is."--Molly to group at the Kerrans Institute
Molly Reviews: "...Ms. Shue infuses MOLLY with a flicker of joy....[She gives a] sweetly likable performance..."-- Stephen Holden, New York Times "...Shue is radiant....It is moving and has been well-crafted with much care..."
-- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times

$10.29 The feature film debut of Hayao Miyazaki (NAUSICAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND, PRINCESS MONONOKE), THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO depicts one adventure of the master thief Lupin and his rough-around-the-edges gunman, Jigen. Something of a cross between Batman, James Bond, and Cary Grant's character in TO CATCH A THIEF, Lupin is a suave ladies' man who is also given to feats of athletic daring, aided by a gadget filled belt that gets him out of more than a few scrapes. The plot has Lupin and Jigen traveling to the sleepy little country of Cagliostro and coming to the aid of the unwilling fiance of the diabolical Count Cagliostro. After CAGLIOSTRO, Miyazaki stopped creating "slapstick" feature films in favor of more serious fare; CAGLIOSTRO shows, however, that he is quite capable of delivering the goods in this genre. Based on the Lupin comics by the artist Monkey Punch, CAGLIOSTRO is a great heist/chase film that surpasses most similar live action fare and breezes by with more than a couple of inventive set pieces, as well as some excellent comic dialogue.

However, Van soon learns that the seemingly perfect Doug has some demons of his own, ones that eerily echo Van's.

$32.75 Director Goro Taniguchi (INFINITE RYVIUS, S-CRY-ED) fashions another imaginative take on intergalactic space travel in his sci-fi series PLANETES. In the year 2075, travel between the earth, moon, and various space stations has become a routine part of human existence. But the increased traffic leaves behind floating pieces of debris that present a deadly hazard for traveling starships and must be cleared by a squad of hardworking debris collectors. As the collectors' newest recruit, idealistic Ai Tanabe quickly loses her enthusiasm for outer space when she joins the Half-Section unit and meets her cynical new partner, Hachimaki. But Tanabe soon discovers that hauling in space debris is not only dull and monotonous--it carries with it a unique set of difficulties and dangers. PLANETES avoids the wild, fantastical tropes of much sc-fi anime in favor of realistic hard science that emphasizes character development and gorgeously rendered animation. This collection presents the whole series in its entirety.

$18.89 British progressive rock band Emerson, Lake, and Palmer are right up there with Deep Purple and Yes as the kings of the genre. During their reign in the 1970s, the so-called supergroup produced five gold and six platinum albums. In 1991, after a 10-year hiatus, the musicians regrouped to write and record a new album. WELCOME BACK chronicles the reunion by filming their 1992-93 Black Moon Tour. It also looks back at their career with band interviews and vintage performance clips.

$19.49 Boyd Rice is a celebrated avant garde musician who calls on a variety of well respected peers to perform with his band Non. On this release they are recorded in 1989 performing in Osaka, Japan. Alongside the performance are a couple of Rice-helmed films: INVOCATION (ONE), which is something of a Holy Grail for the bands disciples, as it has been unavailable for a long time; And BLACK SUN, which Rice debuted at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

$7.89 Pop songstress Mandy Moore (A WALK TO REMEMBER) makes another big-screen splash with CHASING LIBERTY, a charming romantic comedy. Moore is Anna Foster (a.k.a. Liberty), daughter of the President of the United States, James Foster (Mark Harmon). Fed up with the overprotective secret service men that follow her around every second, Anna finally decides to cut loose. While on vacation in Europe she goes to a live performance of the hip-hop band The Roots and then escapes on a motorcycle with a cute photographer, Ben Calder (Matthew Goode). But what she doesn't realize is that Ben is actually a secret service agent himself who is under strict orders to act like a regular guy in order to provide the illusion that Anna is on her own for the first time in her life. As the pair journeys from Prague to Venice to the Love Parade festival in Berlin, Anna finds herself falling in love with Ben. At the same time, the agents on her trail (Jeremy Piven and Annabella Sciorra) find the same thing happening to them. Though the well-intentioned Ben does his best to keep Anna at a polite distance without crossing any romantic lines, it eventually becomes clear that he too is falling for her, complicating the situation. With CHASING LIBERTY, Moore once again proves her undeniably charismatic screen presence.
