A WONDERFUL MOVIE

Mother & Daughter Bonding
Diana Ross and Brandy Norwood make a perfect mother-daughter combo. This is a very touching account of a mother re-uniting with the daughter that she left behind to pursue a career. A very famous recording star now, she devises a way to meet her now nearly grown daughter and is delighted to see how she has grown up. The daughter is very excited and flattered to meet the star whom she's idolized (not realizing that it's her mother). When the mother finally reveals who she is, the daughter is very hurt and angry. She is also angry with her father who has kept her mother away all these years. It takes some doing for mother and daughter to get past the obstacles to discover that they have a great singing talent, among other things, in common. It is wonderful to watch how they interact while the daughter, assisted by her famous mom comes into her own musically.
A very enjoyable account of how families sometimes part and reunite stronger than ever. Even if you are not a big fan of both these talents, this movie is well worth watching.

Family Reunion
Both Brandy and Diana Ross are excellent in this movie which depicts the sad story of a controlling husband who does not want his wife to have a career. She is so determined to have one that she leaves her husband and young baby behind to do it. Her husband cuts her off from having contact with him or their daughter. Years later (after having become very successful), she reconnects with her daughter and paves the way for her to realize her talent and have a promising career. The story is touching, the music excellent. I have the VHS version but will be purchasing the DVD since I so enjoyed it. I have watched this movie a few times and will certainly watch it a few more. I highly recommend it whether you are a Brandy/Diana Ross fan or not.

GREAT MOVIE
I love the movie and all the music, Diana Ross is ine of my favorite singers and actresses. I also love Brandy.
