Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Behind The Scenes Based on the autobiographical novel by Susana Kaysen, GIRL, INTERRUPTED is the story of Susana (Rider), a confused teen who attempts suicide and is promptly passed off by her uncaring parents to a mental hospital. There, she meets an assortment of characters including Georgina, her L. Frank Baum loving roommate, Daisy, a laxative junkie, and Lisa (Jolie), a charismatic sociopath. At first, Susana is almost fools herself into thinking that there's something wrong with her, as she begins to identify and bond with her new inmates. In particular, Susana is fascinated by Lisa and her totally uninhibited behavior, and the two quickly become close. Things begin to fall apart, however, when Lisa's behavior becomes more erratic and disturbing, causing a rift between the two friends and a long delayed bout of self-discovery by Susana. Adapted from Kaysen's popular memoir, GIRL, INTERRUPTED is handled with extreme sensitivity by director James Mangold (HEAVY, COPLAND). Winona Ryder stars as Susana, a troubled teenager whose confused attempt at suicide lands her in a mental hospital. Once there, she meets an odd assortment of characters, including Lisa (Angelina Jolie), who at first mesmerizes Susana with her uninhibited demeanor. The pair form a tight bond, but that connection is threatened when Lisa begins to spiral even further out of control. Ryder and Jolie's intense performances are just one of many reasons to watch this picture. Girl, Interrupted Reviews: "...Stealing every scene she's in, Jolie is excellent..."

A Good Film!! This film will probably be remembered most for Angelina Jolie's great performaces throughout the film.. Truly the greatest role and performance of her career!! Winona Ryder also delivers what I believe to be the best performance of her career aswell. A great film which features great, oscar winning acting, smart and witty dialogue, a strong plot and some confronting scenes. I advice checking this film out, purely because Jolie's performance needs to be seen and this is an overall great film, although it just kinda drags for a little while... quite good Girl interupted is an absorbing ,interesting tale about a woman named susanna (winona ryder) who checks in to a all female mental ward because she tried to commit suicide. While there, she meets lisa, (angelina jolie) a wild, troublemaking girl who quickly befriends susanna. The movie takes off from there and grows more and more interesting as susanna becomes more and more like lisa. Ryder is fine as susanna, but the star of the film is Angelina Jolie. Jolie's searing, superbly executed performance elevates this movie from an interesting melodrama to a first rate slam dunk. Jolie won a well deserved best supporting actress oscar, beating out toni collete, catherine keener, samantha morton, and chloe sevigny. I reccomend this movie because it is well made and is an interesting story, but mostly because of Jolie's powerful performance. Submitted by joe (manhattan,ny,usa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$10.05 The fourth SAW film takes fans into uncharted waters. Now that John/Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) is dead, screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (writers of the Project Greenlight-produced FEAST) give us Jigsaw's "origin" story--finally showing us why he does what he does. Along they way, they still find time to work in the usual dose of elaborate Rube Goldberg-like torture devices and heaps of MPAA-defying gore in what plays like an extreme version of CSI. During his (extremely ...
