Closed Captioned; Second Audio Track; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles Al Pacino and Johnny Depp are terrific together in this excellent Mafia drama from director Mike Newell. Pacino, who played undercover cop Frank Serpico 25 years before, now becomes the hunted Mafia man whom undercover cop Johnny Depp is after. The film was coproduced by Barry Levinson and the screenplay was written by Paul Attanasio, two of the people responsible for the extraordinary television police drama HOMICIDE. Joe Pistone (Johnny Depp) is an FBI mole who integrates himself into the Mafia pecking order by posing as "jewel man" Donnie Brasco. He finds his loyalties divided when Lefty Ruggiero, a jaded hit man, takes him on as a protégé and places real trust in him. The two men form a friendship--and a criminal partnership--that jeopardizes Brasco's mission and obscures the boundaries between the law and the underworld. The film is based on the autobiography DONNIE BRASCO, MY UNDERCOVER LIFE IN THE MAFIA by former undercover agent Joseph D. Pistone. Directed by Mike Newell (FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL) and also starring Bruno Kirby (THE FRESHMAN, THIS IS SPINAL TAP), Michael Madsen (RESERVOIR DOGS) and Anne Heche (WAG THE DOG). Produced by Mandalay.

-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...A wonderfully dense, clever, and moving gangland thriller....[An] engrossing movie..." -- Rating: A-
-- Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly "...An ambitious film with an effective and modulated performance by Al Pacino..."

$10.29 Director Bryan Singer's labyrinthine crime drama centers on five career criminals (played by Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, and Stephen Baldwin) who meet after being rounded up for a standard police line-up. Upon their release, the men band together to pull off an intricate heist involving $3 million worth of emeralds. Their success brings them to the attention of the enigmatic Keyser Soze, an unseen, nefarious, and mythic underworld crime figure who coerces them into pulling off an important and highly dangerous job. The scenes that follow make THE USUAL SUSPECTS one of the most fascinating crime thrillers in cinema history.
Working from the Oscar-winning screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie, Singer adroitly tells the complex story through flashbacks, cross-cutting, and voice-over narration. Such nimble handling of the intricacies of the nonlinear narrative adds to the suspense, ...

$7.09 The Martin Lawrence comedy BLACK KNIGHT, sharply directed by Gil Junger, borrows its theme from A CONNECTICUT YANKEE AT KING ARTHUR'S COURT, with Mark Twain's Yankee being replaced by Jamal Walker (Lawrence). Jamal works at a decrepit California theme park in danger of being put out of business by a rival park. Cleaning Medieval World's moat, he falls into the water, only to recover in 14th-century England. There, Jamal meets Sir Knolte (Tom Wilkinson), a dissolute knight, before he stumbles into the court of the usurper King Leo (Kevin Conway). Jamal is impressed by what he thinks is the realism of the theme park; only after witnessing a gory beheading does he realize, with horror, where he really is. Jamal ...

$7.09 Paul Justman's inspiring documentary pays tribute to one of the most influential, yet unrecognized, collection of musicians that has ever been assembled. The Funk Brothers played the background music on the seemingly endless string of Motown classics in the 1960s and 1970s, resulting in a resume that boasts more number one hits than The Beatles, the Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, and Elvis Presley combined. Shot on location in Detroit, STANDING IN THE SHADOWS OF MOTOWN reunites the surviving members as they reflect on the groups' storied past. Most celebrated is departed bassist James Jamerson, whose fiery presence and technical prowess was largely responsible for shaping the Funk Brothers' supremely distinct sound. In addition ...

$7.89 Known primarily for grunge, good coffee, and plenty of rain, Seattle, Washington also houses the irrepressible figure of Josh Lowell. Lowell is a flamboyant transvestite with a posse of eager friends who hang on his every word. But Josh has big plans afoot--namely his huge comeback, which he and his oddball pals busily prepare for. But who is he and where has he been? To answer the second part of the question, he hasn't been anywhere in particular. In fact, the only place he has been is his apartment, where he resides in a state of somnambulant unemployment. As for who he is, that's easier to answer. Check out the smouldering pout and flaxen red hair; the penchant for flowing overcoats and winsome gazes into the middle-distance. That's right, Josh is Tori ...

Maggie Peyton (Lohan) is a third generation member of a NASCAR racing family and dreams of winning from behind the wheel, but her protective dad Ray Peyton, Sr. nixes the idea, while her brother Ray, Jr. (Breckin Meyer) carries on the family legacy (even though he's not a very good driver).
