113 minute Special Edition feature film DVD starring Sylves ter Stallone. Gabe Walker is a lean, musclebound Rocky Mountain rescue professional trying to live with the memory of his unsuccessful attempt to rescue his partner's girlfriend. The partner, Hal, holds Gabe responsible for her death; with the friendship ruined and a blemished career, Gabe leaves Colorado, retreating from his home and his close friends.
A year later, Gabe returns to Colorado in hopes of convincing his girlfriend Jessie to move away with him. But when a small jet crashes in the mountains, Gabe and Hal are forced to go to the aid of the survivors -- including a psychopathic British thief who has stolen $100 million in Treasury Department money. Together, Gabe, Hal and Jessie lead the group through the rough terrain on foot, protecting one another, fighting the bad guys and rebuilding their friendship along the way.
After a ranger (Sylvester Stallone) fails to rescue his partner's girlfriend from a tragic death in the Rocky Mountains, he leaves the rescue team to wrestle with his guilt. When he returns to reconcile his relationship with his own girlfriend, also a rescue ranger, he is drawn into one last mission. This time, the victims they are rescuing turn out to be deadly criminals who are hauling away a large amount of cash. Directed by Renny Harlin (DIE HARD 2) and also starring John Lithgow (as the villain) and Michael Rooker. Three Academy Award Nominations including Best Visual Effects. Finnish director Renny Harlin was born in 1959. He began his career making shorts and documentaries. In the 1980s, he moved to the US, and received recognition for the film "Born American (1986). Cliffhanger One of my favorite movies, no matter how many times I see it, the beginning is riveting. All the acting I feel was good, but the performance of Hal's girlfriend should have received an oscar for her performance. She makes you really feel the terror of her inevitable 4000 ft. fall to her death. The plot was a little far-fetched but I guess it could really happen. One of the first movies I ever bought and still one of my favorites in my collection! Submitted by sutersfamily (Indiana) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$11.75 As guitarist in The Runaways Lita Ford provided the perfect foil for the vocal stylings of singer Joan Jett. When the band parted ways, Lita struck out alone with a solo career that saw her scale the charts with hits such as "Kiss Me Deadly," and the Ozzy Osbourne duet "Close My Eyes Forever." This compilation proves that Lita still knows how to tear up a stage, laying waste to male metal guitar slingers everywhere ...

Cliffhanger DVD
$6.95 Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) return in this sequel to the 1992 pop-culture time capsule WAYNE'S WORLD. The boys still have their Aurora, Illinois cable access show, Wayne is still dating Cassandra (Tia Carrere) and Garth has even found love in the form of Honee Hornee (Kim Basinger). After sleazy record producer Bobby Cahn (Christopher Walken) attempts to lure the foxy Cassandra away from Wayne, a stress-induced dream transports Wayne to a meeting in the desert with late Doors vocalist Jim Morrison, where the deceased rock hero convinces Wayne to organize a huge outdoor rock festival in Aurora called "Waynestock." Never one to ignore the commands of a dead rock god, Wayne enlists Garths to help him plan the concert.
Continuing with the same goofy slang and surprising guest appearances that made its predecessor such a mammoth success, director Stephen Surjik picks up the baton and delivers a sequel that is bound to please those who found WAYNE'S WORLD so endearingly hilarious.
It's 2 excellent to be true! Wayne and Garth are back ...

$12.59 In the aftermath of punk, the early 1980s saw many earnest young men picking up keyboards, adopting a deadpan demeanor, and selling millions of records in the process. Soft Cell stood apart from the pack, however, by combining some tongue-in-cheek performances with seedy imagery from the sex-strewn streets of London's Soho. Charismatic ...
