I Was Part Of The 50'S music CDs
$12.95 Their first full-length recording, Winfred E. Eye produce an entertaining, if not entirely innovative, 35 minutes of fractured quasi-Americana. Largely aping Tom Waits and Vic Chesnutt, the former in his haunted sage persona and the latter in his cryptic loner guise, the California six piece employ a somewhat tired shtick, but generally do it very well. As a set of songs that are saturated in the disillusionment following ...
| | Eternity's Children Lost Sessions CD (2003)
I Was Part Of The 50'S songs
$14.09 This album contains the rare and lost sessions recorded from 1966-70 by Eternity's Children, a flower-pop group from Mississippi.
The s in "Sessions" is important here. Contrary to certain claims, the Lost Sessions CD does not represent that Holy Grail of '60s aficionados and collectors: the elusive "lost album." What it is, though, should be plenty good enough for most fans of the era's music. The compilation pulls together recordings made during several trips to the recording studio by Eternity's Children between 1966 and 1972, and if the sum of the album doesn't necessarily trump its individual parts, The Lost Sessions is nevertheless a fascinating hodgepodge encompassing a couple different lineups of the group and at least twice as many interesting shifts in musical style. Roughly the first half of the album was recorded by the ...

| | Emeralds What Happened CD (2009)
I Was Part Of The 50'S CD music
$11.09 Followers of the No Fun Productions label are in for a little surprise with Emeralds' What Happened. Although it's easy to make a case for its release on that particular label (drones, gritty textures, crackling revved amps, etc.), this album is a lot less noisy than its average production, and there is nothing harsh about it. In fact, What Happened's ...
