Standard Screen; Soundtrack English Sad-sack teen Billy Duncan (Kim Milford) desperately needs supernatural powers to get a leg up in life. His mother doesn't care for him. So-called friends tease him. A Neanderthal police officer continually rides him. In fact, only his sweetheart, Kathy, treats him with any kind of affection at all. Then Billy finds a laser-rigged cannon and a mysterious brooch -- apparently the possessions of aliens. Although his skin turns green after Billy acquires these items, he feels much less wimpy and decides it's high time for a little payback. Featured on an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, LASERBLAST is goofy fun that features nifty, turtle-like aliens that were created and animated by stop-motion great David Allen.

Laserblast Movie Review Average Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) BIG no-no!! I was eight years when I saw this movie for the first time. It blew my mind, and me and my friends used to watch the "cool" parts of it over and over again... Now 18 years later I stumbeled upon it on your website and it was quite cheap, so I smiled and orderet it....... That I will never do again. I love all kinds of movies, and I know the special effects in especially old movies are metaphores for what is supposed to be, but Oh my good ****
Cult classic or not: The acting is terrible..all of it, and the plot and..and. Well. I mainly put it in my player when I`m in a bad mood, because it`s really more hilarious than Man with the naked gun. So if you`re up for a laugh, this is the movie. Bad B-movies don't get any better than this! Yes, the adorable lizards on the cover of the film are intergalatic bounty hunters. Think of them as the Vincent Vega and Jules of the 70's.
Made in loving stop-motion animation, these high-fiving space reptiles will warm your heart and flame your bones, should you become a rouge Laserblast demon.
Watch as directors save time and money by cutting and reusing the same action scene four, yes four, times in a row! It's not Deja Vu; you're not crazy. It is the same scene!
Watch as the lead character, a Van-Man no less, turns into a green powder-faced demon with anger-management issues.
And don't forget the climatic ending where our Van-Man demon commits random acts of violence against cars, mailboxes, and a newspaper stand.
Folks, this is how B-movies should be done. Do not think you are getting a polished film here. In fact,if you are considering buying LaserBlast you probably already know what you are getting in to. Modern B-films are all special effects with no heart or love.
Laserblast is no budget, with heart, soul, adorable killer lizards, and a Van-Man. 'Nuff said, bub.

This movie is great! I loved it.
Cool explosions, great characters,
loved the lasergun scenes. Who cares
what the Mystery Science Crowd says?
this is one movie I really like.
There are a lot of bad movies in
the world, this is not one of them.

Goofy movie, but still ok Laserblast is actually pretty good. Some people call this a B-movie, but I liked it even without the MST gang tearing it apart. I was surprised to see Keenan Wynn in this because he was in a lot of better movies than this, like The Great Race for example. Pretty good movie, but what's with the STAR WARS sign blowing up in the movie? Submitted by a reviewer (Kingston Mines, IL.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
