Chapeau! This is the best performance I ever heard, which has as its price-less side-effect that I have been sitting, listening to this unbelievably masterly musical work, nailed on my sofa, almost dazed, full of renewed awe for this superior master creation. The solist voices are taken from the Monteverdi Choir and they have less splendour than in other, more tradional performances, but that has a great advantage: each element in this company of performers takes part in a performance that is transparant as glass. Nothing eludes the listener of the genius with which every bar has been constructed and connects with the rest. And everything has the right rhythm.
