Excellent performance UFO - Misdemeanor Tour movie I'll mention the cons first. No Michael Schenker and a limited setlist. Other than that, what a wonderful video. The sound and video is superb, no getting dizzy with camera changes every half second. All but 2 of the songs are from the album "Misdemeanor" with the exception of "Doctor, Doctor" and "Only You Can Rock Me" If you are looking for a greatest hits show, wait for the release of the upcoming DVD which is being recorded May 13th, 2005 (according to the UFO website). However, this video is a nostalgic glimpse (recorded in 1985)into the past of a classic band, and the video looks like it was shot yesterday! One little noteworthy item .... the guitarist, Atomic Tommy M, is nothing short of a master shredder even by today's standards. He fills in for Schenker without a hitch here. What a talent! Mogg is in top form also. This video is well worth having if you are open minded enough to hear more obscure UFO songs that are actually quite well written and hooky. Check out the tunes "This Time" and "Night Run", they are very pleasant surprises if you have not heard them. After watching this video twice, I am completely happy I have it, and will watch with repeated pleasure. Get this one before it goes out of print! By Bart (Dayton, Ohio)
high quality UFO's DVD I recently purchased UFO's Misdemeanor Tour DVD and was pleasantly surprised. I must admit that the song choice was rather unfortunate, maybe because the album itself (Misdemeanor) was not very exciting. However, the quality of production is high. Besides, to see unpopular songs is interesting as well: there is some variaty. No need to hear the same old hits all over again. Also, this one is the only UFO video that I have succeded in acquiring. All in all, highly recommended to all who like the band. Andre Sokolnikov. By asokolni (South Bend, IN)
An Entertaining Live Video This is one of the best concert films that I've seen, which begs the question: Where's the footage of the classic Schenker-era line-up? That band toured relentlessly from 1974-78 and managed not one, two but three great live recordings from that era. 'Strangers In The Night' came from the 1978 tour and should've been filmed also, as UFO were at the peak of their powers. Anyhow, we've got this instead. Mogg managed to rope his old mate Paul Raymond back into the band and he does a good job on guitar & keyboards. Mogg sounds good but the star here is Atomik Tommy M, one of the best guitarists to pass thru the ranks of UFO. He does well on versions of 'Doctor Doctor' & 'Only you can rock me', while adding excitement to the drab 'Misdemeanour' tracks. I'd say that this is one for UFO fans only. By S J (Woking)
