(15 Customer Reviews)
Straight out of Houston, Texas, Lil' Troy rips the mic on his debut album, SITTIN' FAT DOWN SOUTH. He drops skills on the opening "Thugs Niggas" with his unique drawl and southern flavor. Though the millennium is approaching, Lil' Troy's sound is a throwback to the age of classic hiphop. "Ain't No Luv," "Another Head Put To Rest," (featuring an appearance from Scarface), and "Still a Bitch" have a distinct '80s flavor. Be sure to check out "Where's The Love," starring another former Geto Boy, Willie D, on the mic.
Personnel includes: Lil' Troy, Scarface, Willie D, Botany Boys, Fat Pat, Hawk Of D.E.A., Bad Co., 2-Low, Lil' Will, Ardis, Yungstar, Nattie, Big Ced, Big T, Rasheed (rap vocals).
Audio Mixer: Bruce "Grim" Rhodes.
Rolling Stone (9/30/99, p.88) - 3.5 stars out of 5 - "...the latest sparks in the [Southern] explosion....Troy puts on some of Houston's best rappers...[holding] their own over straightforward beats and soulful, catchy choruses. Highlights are plentiful..." Rap Pages (9/99, pp.182-3) - "...a strong, solid project because it is vintage Hip-Hop....a decent body of work and a small appetizer for the musical feasts that Troy is sure to serve in the future." - Rating: C Sittin' Fat Down South Music Lil Troy Sittin' Fat Down South Songs Sittin' Fat Down South Music Review Purchase Sittin' Fat Down South CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Eminem Slim Shady LP CDs (1999)

| | Let There Be Eve... Ruff Ryder's 1st Lady CD (1999)
Sittin' Fat Down South music CDs
$11.99 FIRST LADY is the debut album from Eve, a self-described "pit bull in a skirt" and the only female MC in the Ruff Ryders crew. Though she was first signed onto Dr. Dre's Interscope-funded Aftermath Entertainment, her deal expired before she was able to release an album. After working on posse cuts and guest appearances with Ruff Ryders, Blackstreet, DJ Clue, and the Roots among others, she released this album for Ruff Ryders/Interscope.
The killer beats provided by producer Swizz Beatz, along with ...

Sittin' Fat Down South music CDs
$5.95 Shortly after she departed the funk outfit Rufus in 1978, Chaka Khan recorded her solo debut, which demonstrated that the talent and energy she'd brought to Rufus could shine just as brightly without the rest of the band. On the strength of her popular, disco-fied take on Ashford and Simpson's "I'm Every Woman," CHAKA began to garner attention, a phenomenon hastened by the album's second single, "Life Is a Dance."
CHAKA is solid album throughout, though, thanks to an assembly of excellent backing musicians, top-notch production, and, naturally, Khan's amazingly capable pipes, which can veer from a fierce, fiery wail to a soulful croon with ease. Whether on ballads ("Roll Me Through the Rushes"), ...

Sittin' Fat Down South music CDs
$16.45 Catchpenny is back with it’s second studio album. After spending 9 days recording “Chance for A Lifetime”, it went on to sell out 5 times in a year. The band knew they had eyes on them and the next disc had to be great. “From Where You Are is a huge step forward for us. We didn’t really know what we were doing when we recorded the first album, but we’ve learned a lot over the past year and I think this record will reflect that.” Says Christian Schauf, singer and guitarist. Michael Bland (Prince, Dixie Chicks, Soul Asylum) is again producing, and has taken Catchpenny under his tutelage. In addition to Bland, ...
