"Kecam" (pronounced "ketzum") in Czech basically means chatting, kibitzing, shooting the sh*t.? It's a singularly appropriate title for the debut album from Speed Dial, since the album's 15 songs offer differing sounds, ideas, and opinions, kinda like an animated conversation.Lead by Czech-born/NYC-based singer/songwriter Peter Sabla, Kecam moves from plaintive pop to driving psychedelic rock and gentle ballads. The diverse songs flow together seamlessly, with violin, keyboards, and an occasional string quartet seasoning the bittersweet and memorable melodies, while Sabla gives voice to a wide range of everyday emotions with

Kecam album
$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the ...

Kecam CD music
$13.05 Often, supergroups wind up dominated by one particular personality - think Eric Clapton in Derek & the Dominos, Jack White in the Raconteurs -- which makes the egalitarianism of Them Crooked Vultures all the more remarkable. Of course, when it comes down to it, it's a group of three natural-born ...

| | Impossible Recording Machine Axioms CD (2001)
Kecam music CDs
$13.19 "With a satisfying balance of both straight-on hooks and trippy explorations, Impossible Recording Machine has released an intoxicating album that whets the appetite for more." - Don Kline/All Music GuideAfter nearly a decade of writing music together, Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, Cupcakes) and Jim Dinou (Exo) have decided to brave their perfectionist fear of completion and release the mania of their Impossible Recording Machine. An amalgamation of influences from pop to abstract, IRM began as a private outlet for genreless experimentation that eventually evolved into a new kind of band with an unusual spectrum of material. Matt and Jim allow their collective intuition to lead them to new and intriguing sonic worlds where they embrace things electric and acoustic, melodic and dissonant, disciplined and spontaneous, and weave them into IRM. Their self-produced debut album, Axioms, contains 15 tracks which blend seamlessly into one another while simultaneously building the foundation for the 3 "axioms" of IRM: inertia (the ambient tracks), acceleration (the instrumental tracks) and interaction (the pop tracks). Each axiom is represented by 5 tracks, but rather than moving in elementary fashion from one axiom to the next, all 15 tracks, like IRM's music itself, are woven together into one cohesive album. Already back in the studio, Matt and Jim plan to expand on their debut release with a 3-album box set where they will further explore and define the 3 axioms that make up their Impossible Recording Machine. Impossible Recording Machine is: Jim Dinou: piano, vx, keyboards, programming, saxes, guitar Matt Walker: drums, percussion, programming, guitar, bass
With Axioms, Impossible Recording Machine marks an impressive debut while adding another notch to the increasingly eclectic belt of Positron! Records (owned and run by Sister Machine Gun frontman Chris Randall). Running the gamut from jagged industrial clangs to wispy electronic murmurs, the album's 15 tracks forge through refreshingly original territory. Although Axioms serves as the debut for Impossible Recording Machine, it's actually the second time the band's two members have worked together. Having previously recorded as ...
| | Army of Robots Secret To Everybody CD (2005)
Kecam songs
$16.45 "Trying to put 'Army of Robots' in a musical category that has any relevance to the modern day music listener is pretty much impossible but on listening you can hear influences ranging from just about every musical genre out there. 'Army of Robots' inspiration lies more heavily on '80's New Wave than straight rock and roll. They are often described as being in a genre of their own.'Army of Robots' began as a solo project of Daggrr's. In 1999 Daggrr recorded as 'AOR' on a four track, using the production help of various friends. 'Army of Robots', as it's known today, came to be with the joining of Seth Ludeman and Bryon Anderson. Their collaborative writing and performance has given the music a distinct sound which is easily recognized as 'AOR'. Their prolific ...
