Low To The Ground album for sale by Waxwings was released May 16, 2000 on the Bobsled label. If jangly guitar rock is a dead art form, no one told Detroit's Waxwings. it is nice to know people hold a torch for any of the forgotten but better than today's music. be it shoegaze, dream pop, power pop, garage rock, and jangle-pop. for a debut it is very good, i prefer the more upbeat numbers myself, but the production is crisp, detailed, and not cluttered, which for a jangle pop album is a good thing. for a sunny drive, many of these songs will hit the spot.

I purchased "Low to the Ground" based on the review I read in Rolling Stone. There isn't one bad song on this album. The album is filled with ironic lyrics, chiming guitars, and near-perfect harmonies. It is a great Power-pop album that you can listen to with the windows down and the volume up. My favorites songs are: "Fragile Girl", "While You Spiral" and "Ten O'Clock Your Time"
