Rock The Way It Should Be
Glad to see that this is still available. BOA lives on still in our hearts and souls. No one on the planet has a voice like Jim Dandy. Far out! And those guitar players, WOW! As old as I am right now(55), I still like to jump on the furniture when I hear "When Electricity Came To Arkansas". Oh HELL YES! I use this CD as my test/screening on my first dates with gals I date. If they pass the BOA test, they are keepers. Live on BOA! You guys set the standard! Oh BTW CD Universe, where is the 2nd CD they did called "Keep The Faith"?? I rest my case.

Rock & Roll 70's style!
Black Oak Arkansas rocks in a way no others have ever matched. If you love Rock & Roll you owe it to yourself to hear how timeless and unique their music is.

Southern rock with a washboard!
Jim Dandy and the boys burst on the scene with this fine first album. Really nice songs are driven by Jim Dandy's unique voice. Many of the songs have an underlying theme of family or spirituality. "When Electrcity Came to Arkansas" must be heard to be believed!

Black Oak rocks Atwood Water Park
I just saw Harvey Burley Jett and Jim Dandy Mangrum with Tommy Bolin`s little brother and a few more guys, bassist, drummer, and 3rd guitarist play in small time Mississippi, surrounded by no walls with 2 girls dancing on stage and man these girls were pretty. Jim Dandy has put on a few pounds, probably the methadone, what a trip. I filmed the show.

Just like 1971 . . .
I saw these guys in Olean, NY with Iron Butterfly - these guys wiped me out with their triple guitar, yeh ha Southern Rock. Highly recommended.
