RECORDING STORYand about recording our debut-CD 'Red to Violet': what an adventure... we transformed a remote holiday house in Belgium into a 24 track working studio to record most of the songs for this album. the rest of the tracks were recorded and eventually mixed in a studio hidden in the woods somewhere in the south of Holland. ABBEY ROAD STUDIOSour 1st album selftitled 'Red to Violet' has been mastered at legendary Abbey Road Studios. we've been there and a trip it was indeed... as if the vibes of the Fab Four were still sense-able inside these studio walls. our debut CD has been mastered by Sean Magee, who also worked on projects for Pink Floyd, The Roling Stones but also newer acts such as, Kylie Minogue Pulp, SpiritualizedON CD'S WITH NILS LOFGREN, EDIE BRICKELL...as our debut was immediately pretty well received in the US, so we decided to continue to work in that direction and introduce more people in the US to our music. we received airplay on 400+ college radios with tracks from our debut 'Red to Violet' and were featured on compilation CDs with greats such as Nils Lofgren and Edie Brickell. and our self directed video for Here I Am even won Viewers Choice on CN8... we won the Alt Song Award with our track Anyone for JPFolks independent Music Awards. and hey, we started selling albums!CD-REVIEWScheck the reviews below by other CDbaby buyers and pro reviewers for our debut CD 'Red to Violet'

| | Lady Gaga Fame Monster CDs (2009) Deluxe Edition
Red To Violet album
$16.24 Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro," as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, perverse march "Teeth." Even the stuttering splices on "Telephone," a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that's become Gaga's calling card. And ...

| | Rammstein Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da CDs (2009) Bonus Tracks; Deluxe Edition; Digipak
Red To Violet songs
$17.59 Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like "B********" or the opening theme song "Rammlied" and nostalgic, cabaret pieces that conjure the spirits of Weil and Brecht at a goth club. Best of the latter is the naked and haunting closer "Roter Sand" but little touches of a sinister yesteryear are everywhere, like the fake vaudeville music in "Haifisch" or the soundtrack strings of "Wiener Blut" which are eventually ...
| | Circle Jerks Gig CD (1992)
Red To Violet album
$11.89 The Circle Jerks burst onto the explosive early-'80s L.A. punk scene with vocalist Keith Morris fresh from a short-lived stint in the legendary Black Flag, who were notorious for their raucous, riot-police-infested live shows. The Circle Jerks earned their credibility and reputation in much the same way; with energy-packed, near-riot-status live performances. While Gig was recorded about a dozen years after their inception, the Circle Jerks live shows still proved to be edgy and exciting, although a little less riot-police prone than their early days. Through a handful of shows in Southern California and Mexico, they manage to document their ear-splitting, sarcasm-laced legacy with sustained energy and a tightly coiled attack. Guitarist Greg Hetson, now serving in the still surviving Bad Religion, plays with the speed of his early days and the skill that results from years spent honing his craft. Keith Morris' sandpaper yowl and sarcastic wit survived their hard-lived years as well, with his legendary storytelling and midsong improvisations setting the Circle Jerks apart from the tough-guy mentality that often pervades the punk scene. Rhythm section Keith Clark and Zander Schloss provide a thundering backdrop for some of the heaviest and most scathing punk rock to come out of the '80s. Punk purists might cringe at the slightly metal influence that they adopted ...

| | Chris Spedding Click Clack CD (2005)
Red To Violet music CDs
$13.85 You certainly can't call Chris Spedding's 2005 release, Click Clack, a true blues album. While the respected session guitarist's roots certainly lay in blues-rock, the production is too pristine and the performances too perfect to be classified as blues. But if your forte is mature, mainstream rock with a slight bluesy edge (à la Eric Clapton's latter-day work), then Click Clack will be right up your alley. Even at his most upbeat, Spedding manages to keep everything extremely laid-back -- the tempos, the licks, even his Mark Knopfler-like vocals. The album's title comes from an old Captain Beefheart track, which Spedding covers here (and which turns out to be one of the album's highlights), while two other instrumental covers prove to be highlights -- the jazzy "Ramblin'" (by Ornette Coleman) and the album closer, "Last Date" (by Floyd Cramer). But not all of Click Clack consists of covers, as evidenced by such Spedding originals as the album opener, "Hilife" (which sounds comparable to a song you'd hear while waiting on the ...
