Delerium: Bill Leeb, Rhys Fulber. Additional personnel: Sarah McLachlan, Kristy Thirsk, Jacqui Hunt, Camille Henderson (vocals). Similar to Semantic Spaces with its focus on the lighter side of vocal dream pop, Karma includes contributions from Sarah McLachlan, Kristy Thirsk, and Jacqui Hunt. ~ John Bush Karma Music Review Average Rating: (4.4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews An Engima My entire basis for buying Karma by Delerium was that I heard from a lot of places that if you like Enigma youll like this and since Enigma is one off my all time favourites I had to get this. Karma uses the same new age and ethnic styles of Enigma but it is slightly more electronic. Every song is excellent, albums highlights are: Duende, Euphoria, Lamentation the first minute of which reminds me a bit of the soundtrack used in The Passion of the Christ and Forgotten Worlds that uses samples from Dead Can Dance (another all time favourite).
While Karma isnt in the same league of genius as Michael Cretus work it is still a really good album that should be in any Enigma fans CD collection, it has made me want to check out other work from Delerium. A nice break from the others. So you've listened to Enigma till you can't stand it anymore, you've already got all the Deep Forest CDs and you wonder what you are going to next.
Well this may very well be your next. Hard to classify as there are elements from so many types of music, yet it blended together so well. You have a bit of world music going on, you have some tribal chants, some enviromental, some new age, and some really nice female vocals, a load of other elements, stir it all together and you have you have this CD.
If this the type of music you like then this CD is one of your safest bets for a sure thing. Submitted by Caravankidd (Albemarle, NC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 2 found this helpful.

Simply a classic by Delerium. I picked up this album 8 years after its release and have not regretted I did. You may have heard the lead track Silence...but you haven't heard it all. This album combines all types of relaxation moods while provoking your thoughts...about sadness, darkness,, regret, wisdom all with chilling beautifully haunting music. Get this album...I still listen to it...even right now. Submitted by fleetingwings (Trinidad) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$13.59 THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH(rated Number One New Age album for 2003, Goldenrod Music) fuses Lydia McCauley's luminous songwriting and rich vocals with a brilliant performance from her ensemble of musicians. Third in the series of Brimstone Music's independent rreleases, this new album shines like gold on a Tuscan hillside. The CD booklet is beautifully illustrated with photos of the Italian countryside. The Beauty of the Earth is a very spiritual album. To me it is like a musical version of a book called Anam Cara, a collection of Celtic wisdom that was a bestseller in Ireland a few years ago. The title track sets the mood as it extols the treasures ...

$18.55 Dushan Petrossi’s Iron Mask - Hordes of the BraveIron Mask, the solo band of Dushan Petrossi (guitarist and mastermind of the international act Magic Kingdom) is back stronger than ever with a truly great new album and line up – Hordes Of The Brave. The album combines majestic arrangements with mind blowing power throughout the 11 tracks on offer - all penned by Dushan Petrossi. New vocalist Goetz ‘Valhalla Jr’ Mohre contributes incredible vocals reminiscent of Graham Bonnet or David Coverdale with Bruce Dickinson-esque touches. This unique voice combines the finest melodic qualities with an aggressive delivery. Guest vocalist Oliver Hartmann (ex-At Vance) adds vocals to 3 tracks: The Invisible Empire, Crystal Tears and Iced Wind Of The North (a duet with Mohre). After a successful collaboration on the 2nd Magic Kingdom album (Metallic Tragedy), Dushan just had to work with Hartmann again due to their similar influences. The recording of the lead and backing vocals as well as the epic choir arrangements were done at Hartmann’s ‘Alive Studio’ in Germany. The music was recorded in Brussels throughout 2003 and the first half of 2004 (in ‘Iron Kingdom’ studio, and ‘Galasse’ studio). On the performances of Mohre and Hartmann Petrossi comments, “These two great metal singers contributed the right feeling and performances for these melodies, which are the best and catchiest I have wrote to date - destined to become live anthems”.The metal scene’s hottest keyboardist Richard Andersson (Majestic, Time Requiem, Space Odyssey) is responsible for all the keyboards solos on ‘Hordes Of The Brave’. Andersson immediately accepted the job after hearing the material and contributed speedy, symphonic, classy yet melodic neo-classically-inspired work. The matching of Petrossi and Andersson has produced one of the finest pairings in neo-classical history, along with some of the most awesome fast, furious yet melodic soloing duels heard to date. For the rhythm section Petrossi relied upon the rock solid rhythm section of Magic Kingdom. Vassili Moltchanov (one of the most respected bassists in Belgium) and Russian drummer Anton Arkhipov (famous for his work in thrash band Exhumator) deliver breathtaking technique and energy. In addition Anton studied at the Classical Academy in Minsk and possesses a good strength at orchestral arrangements. The title ‘Hordes Of The Brave’ is a tribute to Alexander The Great, one of the greatest conquerors and warriors of all time. Despite being an arrogant and ambitious character he was full of ...
