Arguably the most innovative and engaging indie hip-hop record of its era, DELTRON 3030 is like BLADE RUNNER set to beats. The core trio of Dan the Automator, Del the Funky Homosapien, and Kid Koala were the architects of an LP whose leading concept was as dense as its music was retro-futuristically engaging. DELTRON is a thesis in old-school hip-hop storytelling/beat manufacturing, cross-referenced with an intellectual sense of humor about the genre's future and a correspondingly ominous soundtrack provided by Automator.

Although this CD is 21 tracks more or less, only about 12 are long songs. STILL this cd meets the expectations that are set for Del tha funky homosapien. Get this cd and then get Both sides of the brain.

Let me begin by saying, I like the album start to finish. I'd say there are several standout tracks, but it's not a classic, sorry. Everyone talks about Automator's beats, but I think Del made this album what it is. It's probably his best lyrical performance of his lifetime.
