Khayree Sessions Vol. 1 album
$7.59 Numerous gangsta rappers came out of the Oakland rap scene of the late 1980s and 1990s, many of whom were faceless and interchangeable. One of the city's more noteworthy gangsta rappers was Spice 1, whose third album AmeriKKKa's Nightmare appealed to hip-hoppers who had been savoring Dr. Dre's The Chronic in 1994. Spice doesn't bring any new insights to gangsta rap -- tunes like "Face of a Desperate Man," "Jealous Got Me Strapped" (featuring the late 2Pac Shakur), "You Done Fucked Up," and "Murder Ain't Crazy" don't say anything that Ice Cube, N.W.A, the Geto Boys, or Ice-T hadn't said already. But the CD manages to hold attention thanks to Spice's appealing flow (his rhyming skills are solid, to be sure) and the very Dre-ish tracks produced by Blackjack, DJ Slip of Compton's Most Wanted fame, Ant Banks, and Spice himself. Dre's influence is impossible to miss on this album; like him, the producers favor a sleek, highly melodic approach that combines hip-hop beats with a strong appreciation of George ...

Khayree Sessions Vol. 1 CD music
$13.79 Skits in the form of news segments, conversations between criminals, and exchanges between friends on the street stay true to the hip-hop code of between-song entertainment. Mall takes a break from grinding backing-tracks with the reggae-flavored "Rude Boy" and diverges from tales of police evasion and hard-living with the romance-minded "Wide Open" and "Pussy Whipped" (a love song of a more specific sort), lending ...

Khayree Sessions Vol. 1 album
$7.99 Ever felt really confused? No idea what to do next, drifting from one thing to another? Everything is great for a while then it all fizzles out, or just gets old and after a while you wonder if you will ever figure life out, or if this is just the way it is?Well no matter how odd, weird or just plain ordinary you think you are, John Devitry’s CD brings home the point that there really is a place in this world for each and every one of us. Background In the 1980’s Devitry moved to the Gold Coast, the party capitol of Australia where he put together a band called The Turncoats who were quickly picked up by an agent with Australia-Wide Promotions. Before long The Turncoats were playing full time in the biggest venues along the Queensland and NSW coasts.A chance meeting changed the direction of Devitry’s life. With a new vision and outlook on life, Devitry quit the band and bought a ticket to Los Angeles. After basically failing High School in Canberra he surprised a lot of people when he graduated five years later in Engineering.THERE IS A PLACE wraps 25 years of experience, from circuit guitarist ...
| | Tupac Shakur Beginnings: Lost Tapes 1988-1991 CD (2000)
Khayree Sessions Vol. 1 CD music
$13.29 Subtitled "Circa 1989," the collection THE LOST TAPES brings together 10 of Tupac's earliest hard-to-find solo recordings. Just as the production evokes an earlier, true-school hip-hop sound--scratch-heavy and snare-drum driven--Pac's flow and lyrical content are more reminiscent of late-1980s/early-1990s icons like Big Daddy Kane and Rakim than anything that listeners have come to expect from the legendary hip-hop martyr.
