English Subtitles; Behind The Scenes American actor John Malkovich was so impressed by Santosh Sivan's striking directorial debut that he personally made sure the film was released in the United States. THE TERRORIST tells the story of Malli (Ayesha Dharker), a 19 year-old Sri Lankan girl who is overjoyed to be hand picked for a suicide mission that calls for her to assassinate a prominent Indian politician by approaching him bundled up in explosives. Malli must make a two-day trip through the lush Sri Lankan jungle to carry out her mission, and during the journey she begins to have doubts. This relatively short trip turns into a personal journey of epic proportions for Malli, and the jungle, made alternately haunting and beautiful, is the perfect backdrop for her dark night of the soul. Sivan's engaging film was inspired by the events surrounding the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi. THE TERRORIST won prizes for best film and best director at the 1998 Cairo Film Festival.
Director Santosh Sivan was nominated for Best Foreign Film by the Independent Spirit Awards.

$10.25 Set in 1962; Produced and released in 1973.
AMERICAN GRAFFITI presents a powerful collage of youth on the brink of maturity just before the assassination of J.F.K.. Based on George Lucas's own teenage hot-rodding days in Modesto, California, this brilliant, bittersweet comedy inspired numerous other productions, including the long-running TV series HAPPY DAYS. Lucas's second feature film (following THX 1138), AMERICAN GRAFFITI contains an early screen appearance by Harrison Ford, who would figure heavily in the director's next movie, the sci-fi epic STAR WARS. The film follows one night in the lives of several recently graduated high school students. The genial Steve (Ron Howard) prepares to leave for college the next day, and Laurie (Cindy Williams), his girlfriend, is upset by his impending departure. Laurie's brother, Curt (Richard Dreyfuss), the class intellectual, is also slated for college, but he has serious doubts about his future. Also included here are the hopeless nerd ...

Terrorist video
$10.29 With the release of Robert Altman's M*A*S*H in 1970, a new form of comedy was born, one that would help to forever change the face of cinema. Altman's audacious film reflected the American counterculture's growing distrust of religion and government in the late 1960s and early 1970s, resulting in one of the biggest box office smashes of its time. Introducing the techniques he would employ throughout his storied career--overlapping dialogue, a constantly moving camera with a heavy amount of zooming, and a bold combination of frank subject matter with cynical humor--Altman immediately vaulted himself to Hollywood's upper ranks. Based on the novel by Richard Hooker, M*A*S*H follows a group of Mobile Army Surgical Hospital officers as they perform surgery and pass the time just miles ...
