---Known as one of Portland's most respected rhythm & blues singers, Lily Wilde has a long list of show business credits. Her father was jazz composer/arranger Calvin Jackson, who worked with a "who's who" of musical talent including Harry James, Lucille Ball, Errol Garner, Lionel Hampton, Leroy Vinnegar, Bobby Troup and Julie London, Johnny Otis and others. Surrounded by music, Lily turned pro at age 17. Not long after, she met Stevie Wonder and became a member of "Wonderlove," his backup vocal group, touring and appearing on the landmark album, "Music of My Mind." Later she spent several years working as a session singer and back-up vocalist, working with many name artists, including Ricky Lee Jones and saxophonist Lee Allen. ---Lily eventually relocated to Seattle, where she became a mainstay of the rhythm & blues scene. She spent three years as a member of local legends Junior Cadillac, touring Russia with the band in 1989. She also worked with Duffy Bishop, Little Bill & The Blue Notes and many others, in addition to fronting her own bands. In 1991 the Washington Blues Society named Lily "Entertainer of the Year". Lily moved to Portland in 1992 and quickly became a local favorite. In 1993 she received a Cascade Blues Society "Muddy" award as "Female Vocalist of the Year." In 1998 Lily performed with a stellar line-up of vocalists including Nancy King, Dave Frishberg and Rebecca Kilgore in a special event called "Vocal Madness". In February of 2001, she was a featured vocalist in the Oregon Symphony's "POPS Series" program "Sing, Sing, Sing", which sold out all four performances at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. "Jazzscene", the monthly magazine for the Jazz Society of Oregon, featured Lily as "Musician of the Month" in their March 2001 issue. ---Lily and Her JJO have wowed audiences at the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Bite of Portland and at Bumbershoot in Seattle. They have performed at numerous benefits and galas for organizations, including Doernbecher Children's Hospital, The Oregon Ballet, St. Vincent dePaul, the Cascade Festival of Music, and The NW Film Center's International Film Festival. On April 25th, 2001and 2002, Lily and the McMenamins Kennedy School staged "The Three Ellas", a birthday celebration in honor of Ella Fitzgerald which also featured music of the lesser known Ella Johnson and Ella Mae Morse, and included guest appearances by Nancy King and Mario DePriest. In February of 2004 Lily was the featured performer with the Harry James Orchestra at the United Negro College Fund's fundraiser called "This Joint Is Jumpin'" held at the Paramount Theater in Seattle.

$18.99 Allette Brooks is a passionate and articulate singer-songwriter, committed to working towards healing on individual, community and global levels. She is a dedicated yoga practitioner, teaching Forrest Yoga (make this a link to www.forrestyoga.com) at home in New Haven, CT and on the road. Allette has released three self-produced CDs and sold over 5000 copies. She's a classically trained vocalist now singing acoustic folk. She didn't pick up her instrument of choice, a guitar, until she was studying ecology in Botswana as a college junior. She played until her fingers bled (this actually happened!) and then jumped into national touring four years later, playing over a hundred shows each year and winning fans from Astoria, OR., to Brunswick, ME. In 2004, Allette took a hiatus from touring to pursue her longtime vision of studying music about HIV/AIDS in Botswana. In May 2006, Allette completed her MA in African Studies at Yale University with a thesis titled, “Music and HIV/AIDS in Botswana: Rearticulating Relationships ...

$13.89 ShystyMy name is Roderick Kines a*k*a Shysty. I was born is Dallas, Tx on October 11, 1978. I'm an only child and this is my bio. One of the first and probably the very reason why I first started rapping was back in '93 or '94. My kinfolk Lutrell Thomas a*k*a Go Hard Black. He was a big influence on me and had taken the initiative to go ahead and start my music and to really find a new way of expressing myself... I come from a hood in Dallas, Tx called Pleasant Grove (P.G.)! I've been living here for about 8 years now. Me, Black, and his family all stayed together once upon atime so his influence on me grew the more time we chill together. I was still searchin for my own identity, and one day me and this brother I use to rap with came to the studio on a weekend, we was young studio rats every chance we got we was at it. I guess he had heard that I had been messin up and he was like, "u a lil bad muthafucka so we gone call u Shysty!" So that was the birth of a beautiful blessin in my eyes.My name is contraversial when folks hear it they automatically assume I am a dirty kaniven ass brother or something, but my name symbolizes so much more....S=soulful H=humble Y=youngster S=steady T=teachin Y=youIt might be stupid to everybody else but it's everything to me. I come from a record label called Go Hard Records. Myself, Mixxx, Black, Tech, G-Pat, C-Ray, Goodie, a good core of brothers with the will and drive to take over the rap world. I signed my first contract to the label after waiting so long I was just happy to be on it. Loyal to my kinfolk and everything it was like forget any and everybody. This is deal wit it "447" ya hear me, the fact of not knowing the business and how people change ...
