This is just the begining of the very successful guy called Devin Townsend. The best musician born in Canada. Strapping young lad is one of the best metal bands in the world and nobody can deny it! Heavy as a really heavy thing is the weirdest album from this band but it is the corner stone of their career. Simply, awesome!

| a nuclear explosion
The whole album sounds like it was recorded during a nuclear explosion in the studio. Pummeling, fast as hell, and quite funny throughout...a surprisingly new and fresh take on industrial metal.

| Great album
Strapping young lad's debut on century media is more intense then trying to push yourself across the interstate in a weelchair during rush hour on a hot summer day wearing a heavy winter coat. Still, even through all this chaos, the album is very good, whith a sarcastic sense of humor to it.
