With their second album, The Pagan Prosperity, Old Man's Child prove themselves one of the more varied bands on Norway's black-metal scene, creating different sonic textures instead of just pounding away. That's not to say there's no lightning-fast death-metal aggression; it's simply mixed in with melodic passages, solid midtempo metal grooves, and tinges of goth-rock. The band doesn't always use its range in a focused manner, but overall, The Pagan Prosperity marks Old Man's Child as a band to watch. ~ Steve Huey

Old Man's Child Pagan Prosperity Songs Pagan Prosperity Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) EXCELLENT !!! HI FROM COLOMBIA. THIS IS PERFECT MUSIC Submitted by jguateque (Bogota, Colombia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Perfect CD! I liked everything about this CD - every song was good; had catchy rythems; had clear vocals; liked what the lyrics had to say and they were easy to read; this CD really connected with me - perfect music! Note: I also gave their other CD, "Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion", 5 stars, and consider both CDs to be exceptional! Submitted by neutrality (Rochester, MN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
death or black metal? This album is amazing sonic and brutal, yet contains the medlodies and speed of black metal. I guess it's a judgment call. Which is what pretty much every Old Man's Child is that way. This band does a great job of staying unique and staying in their own, wierd/evil style. A must buy! The True Kings of Black Metal!!!!! This album is beyond amazing!!!! Galder and his evil peers have concocted a delicious brew of darkness, brutality, horror, speed, and melody and have woven them all into an atmospheric album that all metal fans should own!!! The lead track "The Millenium King" showcases some of the most amazing metal riffs I've ever heard, and definitely the best keyboard section I've heard since Cradle of Filth. And the vocals are truly sick........I love it!!! Buy this album immediately! Submitted by rick.massie (Toronto, ON, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Bon Jovi One Wild Night CD (2001) (Import) Japanese Edition
Pagan Prosperity
$43.09 ONE WILD NIGHT is a live document by hard rock heroes Bon Jovi, featuring the hits "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love A Bad Name."
Following a five-year hiatus that found Jon Bongiovi pursuing an acting career, these Jersey boys emerged with the millennial CRUSH, an album that found them making a mini-comeback marked by chart success and Grammy nominations. On the heels of this wave of prosperity comes ONE WILD NIGHT, taken from a collection of hand-picked live gigs meant to reward long-standing fans (who've clamored for a concert album) and give newer ones a taste of Bon Jovi's career-spanning global performances.
In the 15-year span covered on this record, it's interesting to hear Bon Jovi's creative development. You get in-Japan versions of their breakout hit "Runaway" and "In And Out Of Love," an early number soaked in the crunching guitar and hard-hitting rhythms of the band's pop-metal origins. The flip side finds these same guys as ...
