Enter the Dru album for sale Product Description

Enter the Dru album for sale by Dru Hill was released Oct 27, 1998 on the Island (Label) label. On their sophomore effort, Sisqo, Nokio, Woody and Jazz drop another gem. Following up on their 1996 debut, ENTER THE DRU finds Dru Hill delivering the same cutting-edge R&B that has made them a worldwide success. Contributions from some of the most talented contemporary writers and producers make ENTER THE DRU a hard album to resist. Super-hitmaker Babyface co-wrote and co-produced the first single, "These Are the Times," while David Foster co-produced the Diane Warren ballad "What Do I Do With The Love." Wu-Tang's Method Man flips a verse on "This Is What We Do." There are plenty of trademark Dru Hill ballads such as "One Good Reason," "I'll Be The One' and "What Are We Gonna Do." Be sure to check out the Daryl Simmons-produced "The Love We Had (Stays On My Mind)," which is a cover of a classic Dells song. Enter the Dru CD music contains a single disc with 17 songs.   ...See Full Description

Cut was not there
The reason I ordered this CD is because there is one particular release that I wanted most of all, and it was not on this CD.

...especially Track 16!
I got this album in 1998. However my love for it grew after I broke up with my childhood love early 1999... whenever I would listen to Track 16 I would cry, it told the story of my heart.

Enter the Dru buy CD music THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL won the 1999 Grammy Award for Album Of The Year and Best R&B Album. Lauryn Hill won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. "Doo Wop (That Thing)" won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. "Nothing Even Matters" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. "Lost Ones" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. "Everything Is Everything" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Lauryn Hill is far from miseducated, as her solo debut album proves. With both critical and popular acclaim from her affiliation with the Fugees, Lauryn uses THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL to make a definitive individual statement. The focus here is love: love of self, love of her son, the love of her life, love of hip-hop. Her powerful lyrics and vocal talent put her in a class by herself. One of hip-hop's more strong-willed artists, Lauryn's positivity defies the '90s materialistic rap scene. Although there is much more singing than rapping, Lauryn still covers plenty of hip-hop ground on THE MISEDUCATION, and her music falls into the rap category just as much as it does into R&B. Produced by Hill herself, this album gives us only a few guest artists (D'Angelo, Mary J.) but lots of Lauryn Hill. Personnel: Lauryn Hill (vocals, guitar, background vocals); D'Angelo (vocals, Fender Rhodes piano); Mary J. Blige (vocals); Earl "Chinna" Smith (guitar, background vocals); Francis Dunnery, Johari Newton, Julian Marley, Al Anderson, Andrew Smith , Robert Browne, Carlos Santana (guitar); Elisabeth Valletti, Grace Paradise (harp); Indigo Quartet (strings); Bud Beadle (flute, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone); Lori Holland (clarinet, electric piano, Fender Rhodes piano, organ, Wurlitzer organ); Dean Fraser (tenor saxophone); Kevin Robinson (trumpet, flugelhorn); Everol Ray (trumpet); Nambo Robinson, Fayyaz Virji (trombone); Don-E (piano, Fender Rhodes piano, Wurlitzer organ); Tejumold Newton, John Stephens (piano); James Poyser (celesta, electric piano, Fender Rhodes piano, harpsichord, organ, Wurlitzer organ, bass synthesizer); Jared "Chocolate" Crawford, Squiddly Ranks (drums); Rudy Byrd (percussion); Che Pope (programming); Che Guevara, Vada Nobles (drum programming); Lenesha Randolph, Earl Robinson, Eddie Stockley, Fundisha Johnson, Andrea Simmons, Ahmed Wallace, Racheal Wilson, Tara Wilkons, Chuck Young, Jennifer McNeil, Rasheem "Kio" Pugh, Kenny O. Enter the Dru CD music NEVER SAY NEVER was nominated for a 1999 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. "The Boy Is Mine" won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal, and was nominated for Record Of The Year and Best R&B Song. "Almost Doesn't Count" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Avoiding the dreaded sophomore slump, Brandy delivers a fresh-sounding, well- crafted second album that sounds as much like pop as it does R&B. NEVER SAY NEVER features a song, "Have You Ever?," that was written by mega-songstress Diane Warren and produced by super-producer David Foster. The lead single, "The Boy is Mine" is a duet with fellow R&B'er Monica. Keeping up with the trend of big-time collaborations, multi-platinum rapper Mase makes an appearance on "Top of the World," which seems custom made for jeep jockeys. Although sprinkled with other contributors, most of the album was produced by Rodney Jerkins. With a focus that is sometimes lost on a follow-up to a smashing debut, Brandy's composure and experience shine through in a product that is 16 songs deep. The album also contains a cover of "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)," produced by Foster. Personnel: Brandy (vocals, background vocals); Anas Allaf, Isaac Phillips, Michael Thompson , Rick Williams (guitar); Dean Parks (acoustic guitar); Darkchild Orchestra (strings); Harvey Mason, Sr. (keyboards, percussion); David Foster (keyboards); Chuckii Booker (drums, programming); Felipe Elgueta, Simon Franglen (programming); Donyle Jones, Dorian Holley, Nikisha Grierf, Willie R. Enter the Dru songs R. was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. "I'm Your Angel" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. "When A Woman's Fed Up" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. R. Kelly proves that he's as prolific as he is talented on the two-disc set R., which not only culls together his most noteworthy and successful work, but is bursting with new tracks as well. Filled from start to finish with Kelly's unique blend of smooth vocal stylings and no-nonsense lyrical stance, this album also features the work of a few of his prominent friends--the opener, "Home Alone" sports a guest rap courtesy of Keith Murray, while "Money Makes The World Go Round" is graced by Nas. A more mainstream pairing is witnessed in the dramatic show stopper "I'm your Angel," which finds Kelly alongside superstar Celine Dion, but the collaboration which really makes its mark is "We Ride," which features Cam'Ron, Noreaga, Jay-Z and Vegas Cats in a veritable who's who of Hip Hop's brightest stars. As if all this weren't enough, the mega-hit "I Believe I Can Fly" is included for good measure. Newcomers to the world of R. Kelly will be attracted by the hits, but they're sure to stay for the instant classics and star-studded party jams which make up the rest of R. Enter the Dru album for sale Dru Hill is a new-jack soul quartet that follows mentor Keith Sweat's lead on its debut album. Paeans to Herculean late-night exploits and calls of soul-cleaning devotion are interspersed over old-fashioned soul licks, delivered with modern R&B technology. At times, as on "Tell Me," the low and high roads to a heart co-mingle in a fashion that would make Prince envious. But Dru Hill seldom reaches the Minneapolitan's funky musical raunch. Instead, Sisqo, Woody, Nokio and Jazz choose to be smooth like butter: all rich harmonies, laid-back finger snaps and synthesized harps. Additional personnel includes: Triip (rap vocals); Nate-Love, Ralph B. Stacy (various instruments); Frank Campbell (guitar); Kim Jordan, Stanley Brown, Benjamin Love (keyboards); Allen "Grip" Smith (keyboards, programming); Ronnie Garrett, Lance Hinesman, Zack Scott (bass); Nathaniel Townsley (drums); Spike (percussion); Bobby Crawford, Daryl Simmons, Michael Aharon, Big Mike, Tom Salta (programming). Enter the Dru CD music Produced by hitmaker Sean "Puffy" Combs, 112's second album comes on strong from the get-go. As its title track intro states, ROOM 112 features heavily layered, intricately arranged vocals against a backdrop of slickly produced compositions. From the frank, confessional "So Much Love," to the sensuous groove of "Someone To Hold," ROOM 112 tends towards the slower, more romantic end of the R&B spectrum. Combs calls on a few celeb pals to lend a hand on ROOM 112, including Faith Evans, whose confident vocal stylings grace "For Awhile," and Lil' Kim, who contributes her trademark take-no-prisoners rap to "The Only One," the album's hardest track. MJG is featured on "Whatcha Gonna Do," a ballad of love gone wrong, with an almost ethereal backing track. Enter the Dru buy CD music The title of Faith Evans's sophomore album, KEEP THE FAITH, seems appropriate. In the years immediately following the release of her successful debut, her husband, the Notorious B.I.G., was the victim of a much-publicized murder. Yet Evans persevered by making a record that built on the promise of her first album and refined some of its raw edges. Assured, elegant, and possessed of a powerful, flexible voice, Evans lays it down with a mix of ballads, mid-tempo grooves, and uptempo dance tracks. The latter are the highlights of KEEP THE FAITH, and stand-outs "Love Like This" (with its irresistible Chic sample) and the slinky funk track "All Night Long" both shot straight up the charts. Fans looking for more of the like might not take to the emphasis on balladry, but Evans's voice will endear tunes like the lovely "My First Love" to nearly any listener. KEEP THE FAITH eventually went platinum, further solidifying Evans's standing as hip-hop and R&B royalty. Engineers include: Joe Perrera, Tom Russo, "Prince Charles" Alexander.
