|Good telling of the disaster at sea|
This is a good movie about the sinking of the Titanic. This movie doesn't center on any one person or family. It centers on the sinking itself, and all the crew and passengers. Not just another love story set on a sinking ship, but a movie about the sinking.

||Great film, some small edits to the dvd|
There were two versions of this film on vhs, and unfortunately this is the shorter of the two. Scenes cut are minor, but include a shot of a man swimming towards the overturned lifeboat with a baby that turns out to have died, and is placed gently back into the ocean. Still, the historical accuracy makes this a more interesting film than Cameron's "Titanic" despite the less convincing visuals.

My favourite of all the Titanic movies.
