In top form, the Amazing Crowns deliver a hot & fast concotion of punked-up rockabilly, but their distinction is a sound recalling the Misfits moreso than the Reverend Horton Heat. Payback Live!, like the previous snapshot(Holiday Bootleg) of the Amazing Crowns, provides all the audience interaction and greasy-haired frenzy of a live show. However, a better view of their background appears here, with versions of the Johnny Cash-inspired "American Nitemare" by the Misfits, Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol," and even Agent Orange's "Bloodstains."
